Serena’s sudden appearance threw the entire ballroom into chaos.
Guests screamed in terror, scrambling in all directions.
Aria looked at the scene in disbelief and shouted: “Serena, you’ve already committed crimes! Escaping from prison will only add to your sentence. Put the knife down now!”
But Serena paid no attention. She advanced toward Aria step by step, muttering incessantly: “It’s you, it’s all your fault I ended up in prison, suffering endless torment. Today is the day you die!”
Her eyes were filled with hatred, as if she wanted to devour Aria alive.
The Pierce family was also stunned by this sudden turn of events, not knowing how to react.
Just as Serena raised her knife, ready to plunge it into Aria, a figure suddenly rushed forward. Maxwell unhesitatingly stood in front of Aria, shouting: “Serena, come at me instead!”
A flash of madness crossed Serena’s eyes, and her knife didn’t hesitate for a moment, stabbing straight into Maxwell’s chest.
“Maxwell!”
But Serena had completely lost her mind and raised her knife again to stab Aria.
At this critical moment, the Pierce family finally reacted.
Mr. Pierce rushed forward without hesitation, using his body to shield Aria, shouting: “Serena, you’ve gone insane! Stop it!”
But Serena was like a rabid animal, unable to listen to anything. Her knife stabbed straight toward Mr. Pierce.
Unable to dodge in time, Mr. Pierce was stabbed in the abdomen. Blood immediately soaked his clothes, but he endured the excruciating pain, protecting Aria with all his might.
Seeing her husband injured, Mrs. Pierce screamed in terror, but without any hesitation, she rushed forward, trying to grab Serena and stop her from continuing her rampage.

“Serena, what are you doing? She’s your sister!” Mrs. Pierce cried out, her voice filled with pain and
despair.
Serena flung Mrs. Pierce to the ground with force, then raised her knife again, lunging toward Aria.
Seeing this, Connor’s heart raced with urgency. He rushed over without regard for his own safety, using his arm to block the fatal blow.
“Ahh!”
Connor cried out in pain, blood streaming from his arm, but he still didn’t back down, tightly protecting Aria.
As Serena was about to continue her attack, Maxwell, enduring the pain in his shoulder, rushed forward again.
Seeing a familiar figure hurriedly approaching the door, he used all his strength to grab Serena from behind, shouting: “Lucas, get Aria out of here now!”
Lucas had no time to ask what had just happened and quickly pulled Aria toward the exit.
Serena struggled wildly, her knife flailing about, cutting several more wounds into Maxwell’s body, but he never let go. “Serena, wake up! Hatred will only plunge you into endless suffering!”
At that moment, police sirens sounded outside the ballroom.
Hearing the sirens, Serena’s movements gradually slowed down, a flash of fear and confusion
crossing her eyes.
Her knife fell to the ground with a “clang,” and she collapsed to the floor.
The police quickly rushed into the ballroom, subdued Serena, and took her away.
Aria and Lucas hurried back to help transport the injured to the hospital.
All the Pierce family members had been stabbed, but Maxwell’s injuries were the most severe.
After surgery, the Pierce family gradually regained consciousness.
