The assistant didn’t dare delay, launching an investigation immediately.
Soon, a detailed report landed in Maxwell’s hands.
The report not only confirmed everything the housekeeper had said but uncovered even more of
Serena’s evil deeds.
Maxwell’s hands trembled with rage as he read through it.
He passed the report to the Pierce family. Mr. and Mrs. Pierce and Connor read it, their faces turning
deathly pale, as if struck by lightning.
It turned out Serena hadn’t just stolen credit for all of Aria’s accomplishments.
During their school years, she had arranged for people to bully Aria relentlessly.
No wonder during that period, they often saw Aria coming home covered in injuries.
Yet they hadn’t just ignored it–they’d scolded her, accusing her of hanging around with the wrong crowd, saying she couldn’t compare to her sister.
Even worse, Serena had once specifically hired homeless men to assault Aria.
If Aria hadn’t run fast enough, those men would have succeeded in their attack.
Most horrifying of all, the home invader had actually been arranged by Serena.
Her goal? To have Aria killed!
“Unforgivable! Absolutely unforgivable!”
Mr. and Mrs. Pierce never imagined their seemingly obedient daughter could commit such
monstrous acts.
Connor was overwhelmed with regret. When he looked at Serena again, his eyes blazed with fury “Serena, Aria is your sister! How could you do something like this?”
Seeing there was no way to salvage the situation, Serena abandoned all pretense. She laughed

maniacally: “That’s right! I did it all! So what? I wanted Aria gone. I wanted everything for myself!”
“You all promised to love only me, that I’d be your only daughter, your only sister. Why did you have to bring Aria into this world? Fine, she was born to give me blood, but why did she have to seek your love, do all those things for you? Doesn’t that make me look like a failure as a sister?”
“And Uncle Maxwell–I was the one who fell for you first! Why, WHY did the first person you saw when you returned be Aria? Why was she dancing in the garden that day, making you fall in love at first sight? When you kept asking about the dancer, how could I let the man I loved fall for someone
else? Of course I had to take her place.”
Her laughter echoed through the hospital room, sending chills down everyone’s spine.
The Pierce family and Maxwell stared at her with disgust, as if she were a demon straight from hell.
“Serena, you will pay for what you’ve done,” Maxwell said coldly.
Serena scoffed: “What can you do to me? I’m the Pierce family’s eldest daughter. Do you dare touch
me?”
Mr. Pierce stepped forward: “From today on, you are no longer a daughter of the Pierce family. We are severing all ties with you!”
Serena’s eyes widened in shock. She hadn’t expected her father to be so resolute.
‘Dad, Mom, Connor, Uncle Maxwell!!!”
‘I can’t lose everything! I have hemophilia! If you throw me out, if I’m not the Pierce heiress anymore, how will I survive?”
she tried to beg, but the Pierce family had completely lost faith in her and ignored her pleas.
Maxwell turned and left the hospital room. He needed to find Aria, tell her the whole truth, and beg for her forgiveness.
He realized now that she was the one he truly loved.
But how had he treated her all these years?
Perhaps she had discovered his true intentions when he approached her, which was why she had left so decisively.
