After speaking, I walked out of the Kingsley household. But before I had gone far, a group of thugs dragged me into a dark alley.
The man leading them raised his hand and slapped me across the face, a lecherous look in his
eyes.
“Bitch, someone paid us to have a little fun with you!”
The group closed in, trying to rip my clothes. But I wasn’t the least bit afraid.
Because in the very next second, Charles rushed in and kicked them aside without hesitation. He hurriedly helped me up.

After this morning’s scandal with the private photos, I knew Peter would try to retaliate on Yvonne’s behalf, so I had already sent Charles a message, asking him to come save me.
At first, he didn’t believe Peter would resort to such despicable methods. But now, having witnessed what nearly happened with his own eyes, his face darkened.
“Tessa, I’ll take these men to the police station right now. I swear, I’ll get you justice!”
I looked up at him, gratitude filling my heart.

After giving my statement at the police station, I took the opportunity to visit the Kingsley Family’s ancestral tomb. The moment I placed Peter’s hair into the grave, thunder roared across the sky and a torrential storm broke out.
Within three days, the Kingsley Family would be ruined. Its home shattered, its people broken!
I returned to the villa to pack my things. It was time for me to leave.
When Peter saw me in disheveled clothing, he assumed his plan had succeeded.

As he finished speaking, Yvonne appeared at the top of the stairs, dressed in an exquisite wedding gown.
“Tessa, Peter has already booked the hotel and picked out my dress. In three days, we’ll be married.”
When Mr. Arthur heard that I had been assaulted, he didn’t punish Peter. Instead, he tried to persuade me to stay.
“Tessa, even if Peter marries Yvonne, you can remain here at the Kingsley household. I promise you won’t be mistreated.”

Peter hesitated for a moment, then added, “You can stay on as a servant. As long as you serve Yvonne well, I’ll make sure you never want for food or shelter.”
They weren’t willing to treat me well, yet they still didn’t want to let me leave? They really thought they could have everything their way.
Just then, Charles slowly walked into the Kingsley household.
Peter looked surprised.
“What are you doing here so late?”

“I’ve come to take my fiancée home.”
Peter looked completely bewildered, “Your fiancée? Who?”
Charles walked over to me and gently extended his hand.
“Tessa, let’s go.”
Peter suddenly yanked him aside, “What did you just say?!”
