Before I had Promise next to me, as we both waited until death takes Issac. But now? I had no one. I
was utterly by myself, I will have no one to hug me as I watch her laying in her deathbed. But I knew that I had to be strong for her. So she can go in peace and not die in regret… All I can hope for right now, is that sooner we can leave this place, the better for her.
I can tell that she is acting in front of them, and I don’t blame her for doing that. She needs to put the act down. I can already feel it in the air that… her time is coming soon. I don’t know when… but I
can just feel it charging in the air around her.
I just wish that the Lord does not take her away soon. I need to spend some time with her as much as
I can…

I was still confused at what that Loanne girl said to me. But I knew that I shouldn’t let it bother me
that much, I was the Beta of the pack. I had to protect and help the Alpha in any way I can and having
that girl’s words in my head will stop me.
Shrugging it off, I went about my day hoping that when its done, I can be at home with my wife and
kid. Lately, I haven’t been able to play with Nathan that much and I can tell that Nathan was really
sad and bothered about it. So I wanted to make it up to him and try t come home a bit early then
usual.
Other than that, I am glad that Lily forgave me though I can tell that if Tyler, Kyle, and Marie shows
their faces to her. She will explode and then we will end up having a full blown arguement. She will
then kick me out of the room and not allow me back inside until a few weeks later. And I do not want
to sleep on the couch. It’s not fun at all.
I bumped into Evan who looked like he was drunk. Grabbing his shoulders, I asked him “Dude are you okay?”
He looked up at me and nodded his head. “yea man. I was out last night and didn’t get back until 5
this morning.” He stated.
I looked at him. “Why were you/out that late?”
He looked at me and then around us to see if anyone was around us before she spoke. ” Because you
know a few weeks ago, we had the little run in with some rogues who made a threat about someone
coming to kill everyone?”

“Well Xavier told me that I should go to the neighbouring pack and ask them if they had any run in with some rogues who said the same thing.. and let me tell you. They did as well. Bro, I feel like they are going everywhere. Something or someone is out there, probably planning something thats not good. I just have a feeling we are going to lose someone special.” Evan said. I can tell that he was really bothered by it.
“Alright.. did you tell Xavier?” I asked Evan. He nooded his head. “Yea and I was suppose to find you since he wants to have a word. But seeing as you ran into me. Then I guess message delivered.”
I nodded my head and patted Evan’s back before I waked off towards the office. Knocking on the door, I opened it to see a very pissed/worried Xavier pacing around the room. I walked in with
caution.
“What’s wrong bro?”
He looked at me and sighed. “Did Evan tell you whats going on?” He said to me. I nodded my head.
“Yea about the whole rogues and them making contact with the other alphas.”
He sighed and ran his hands through his hair. “I feel like we are being watched bro.” Xavier
suddenly said to me. Taking me in surprise.
“Being watched?” I asked him. He nodded his head.
“Yea.. I know that it can’t be the human girl who’s friends with Promise because I ran a background
check on her. I just feel like someone is out there watching our every move.”
I walked up to Xavier and placed my hand over his shoulder. Making him stop pacing. He turned and
looked at me. I can tell that within his emotions, he was not only worried about the wellbeing of the
pack… but also Promise. I sighed and gave him a light punch.
“Dude calm down.. how about I and a couple of guards go around and check to see if anythings wrong.” He sighed and nodded his head hesitantly.
Something is going to happen… very soon my gut feeling told me as I waked out of the office after telling some guards to follow me.
