I found Promise sitting down with a little boy. I smiled and sat down right beside her and nudged her. ‘Well Promise are you going to introduce me to this handsome fella.” I said giving him a smile.
He smiled back and had a tint of pink on his cheeks. Aww he was blushing. Promise laughed softly and nodded her head. “Well Loanne this is my nephew Nathan. And Nathan this is my best friend/
sister Loanne.”
I smiled and put my hand out for him to shake. “Hello.” I said, he slowly lifted his hand up and shook my hand before murmuring a shy hello. Then suddenly he ran off. I looked at his running figure before I looked back at Promise who was smiling. “He usually does that whenever he is shy.”
I nodded my head and leaned my head against Promise’s shoulder. “What did you guys talk about?” She said after a while. “He just warned me to not tell anyone. HA! I would totally do that just to get them into shit. But I know that you won’t like that…” I said.
I felt her nod her head before silence enveloped us. “Let’s just have a chill day?” I asked her. “Yea..
Let’s do that. I am still pretty tired.”
Promise
I knew that Loanne fell asleep considering the fact that she was lightly snoring. Pushing Loanne to the side a bit, I laid her back onto the couch and drapped the wool blanket that was laying on the
couch over her.
Kissing her forehead, I stood up and decided to go get something to drink. Leaning against the counter, I took slow sips of water and stared at nothing. Allowing my thoughts to just overwhelm my entire brain. I guess it must be bad to do that, seeing as Lily scared me causing me to drop the glass onto the counter. Thankfully though, the cup did not shatter.
“Sorry Promise. I didn’t think that you would be scared.” Lily apologized to me as she helped meclean the spilled water. Giving her a small smile, I shook my head.
“You don’t have to apologize Lily. It was my fault that I wasn’t paying attention.” I said to her and she smiled at me before silence enveloped the both of us.
“So… your friend, you guys must be really close to each other.” Lily said to me as she watched me. I nodded my head and a small smile made its way on my face as I remembed the first time that I met
her. She was really crazy and energetic that it made me feel welcomed.

I nodded my head at what Lily was saying. It was really nice to have someone out there to help me when I was a scared. Without Loanne’s and Issac’s help… I wouldn’t be here right now… meaning I wouldn’t be alive. They helped me and gave me hope, well Issac gave me more hope. He was the part of my hope. I guess that’s why I love him so much.
I similed and looked at Lily, “How was your night Lily?” I asked her. She smiled and shook her head.
“Jayden was annoying me, Nathan was fooling around until it was 2 when I finally got him to go to bed, so right now, I am mentally exhausted.” She said with a slight chuckle at the end,
“I’m so sorry that I didn’t help you get Nathan into bed. I feel so bad now.” I said to her as I touched Lily’s hand.
She smiled and shook her head at me. “Don’t be sorry. Besides the moment you were downstairs, I could already tell that you were tired. And your health means a lot more than helping me out alright?”
I smiled and nodded my head at her, even though I still felt like I should’ve helped. But knowing Lily for a short period of time, I can already tell that she does not take no for an answer.
Loanne
I was laying on the couch awake, as I listened to what Promise said about Issac and I helping her out. It brought tears to my eyes as she was telling Lily about it. Oh Promise… but I couldn’t stop it from killing you now… I thought to myself as I closed my eyes tightly.
I felt like I failed. But did I fail? I don’t know, all I know is that I will have that answer at the end of the journey. Right now, it was the countdown. It was not like the countdown at NYE. It’s the countdown of someone’s life,
