Lily
(Day 3)
It hurt when I heard with my own ears that they raped Promise. And it only got worse when she said that Jayden never stopped them. That he just stood there and laughed. I didn’t want to believe it at first, but by the expression that I see on his face. I knew she wasn’t lying.
Here I was inside Nathan’s room, running my fingers through his hair. He enjoyed that just like his father. I smiled softly at the memory of me doing it to Jayden whenver he got stressed. He would get so calm and relaxed that in the end, he ended up drooling.
“Mama…” Nathan murmured to me. I could tell by the tone in his voice that he was on the border to
sleep.
“Hmm baby?” I asked him as I just continued what I was doing to him.
“Why is auntie sad? she always sad when Alpha and daddy comes in room.” He whispered. My figners froze as he said that. I knew that Nathan was a really smart child, but I didn’t know that he
was going to figure out that something was wrong. Usually he would be in his room playing until he got called down.
I resumed running my fingers through his hair but instead of it being smooth it was tense. “It’s
nothing for you to worry about dear. Its for the grown ups to handle okay?” I said to him.
Then I saw Nathan’s little body shake and I knew that he was crying. Turning him around, my heart broke as he was trying his best to not cry. Wiping his tear, I whispered softly. “Why are you crying baby? Is something wrong?”
He nodded his head. “it–its auntie. She hurting so badly. Don’t want her leave me. I just meant her
mama.” He said.
I smiled softly at him and nodded my head. “Your aunt will never leave you. She loves you so much.” He nodded his head and I leaned down, kissing his forehead. “Okay, now lets go get a nap.
We both need it. Especially you baby.” He nodded his head and wrapped his small arms around my
body.
Returning his embrace, I leaned down and my eyes never closed. Instead it just stayed wide open. My heart was hurting for Promise, Nathan, and Jayden. All I can hope was that they will forgive each other, but knowing the severity of this whole situation, it won’t be soon.

Promise
I called Dr Fell after I was refreshed, and the call pretty much was not good at all. He finally calculated how long I have left which was around 48 days. It wasn’t bad, but still I felt that it would be cut down to a little number very soon.
I had to leave soon. I want to spend some time with Loanne before I head back to see Dr. Fell. But
how can I leave when I know that I won’t be able to see my nephew anymore. I missed like what years of his life. And I grew a special bond with him. A bond that was special to my eyes. I can also tell that Nathan grew a bond with me, seeing how attached he is.
I smiled, maybe it would be best if I tell Nathan right? I mean even if he is still a child, at least 1 told
a family member, there was a lot of possibilites running through my mind on if I should tell him.
A knock brought me out of my thoughts, turning my head I looked at the door and was silent. “Promise? I know you’re awake.” Jayden’s mate suddenly said.
I stared and knew that it would be rude for me to ignore her, this was her house and if she wanted, she could kick me out anytime. “Yes?” I said after a while. Wow, my voice sounded very weak.
“Can I come in?” She asked.
“It’s your house, so of course you can come in without asking.” I said. The door slowly opened revealing a messy girl. Her black circles were darker and her hair was a rat nest. I patted the seat beside me on the bed and she smiled small before climbing onto the bed.
Ther we both sat in silence. Me just thinking why she is in here. And her probably thinking about
Jayden.
“I am so sorry Promise…” She started off, my eyes went wide and I looked at her confused. “Why are you apologizing to me? You did nothing wrong…” I said as I turned to face her.
Lifting her head, she looked at me, and I saw tears falling down her eyes. “I am sorry for what Jayden did to you… what this entire pack did to you. No one deserves to go through what you went through.” She said as more tears began to form and fall. I gave her a broken smile and dropped my head down onto my lap.
