That woman who always looked so sure and handled things without mishap.I was the person who handled things calmly even when the project temporarily collapsed,dragging her suitcase without looking back at all.

Hazel,with coffee stains all over her,her clothes disheveled,leaned into his embrace like a victor basking in everyone’s gaze. The corners of her mouth curled up in a smug smile she couldn’t hide.

However,the moment the office door closed behind them,the employees’expressions shifted.It wasn’t like they didn’t know about Ken’s obsession with cleanliness.
He never allowed his employees to bring takeout into the conference room,he didn’t allow water stains on the teacups and he didn’t tolerate others appearing in his office without proper attire. There was even an intern he kicked out once just because their collar wasn’t buttoned right.
Yet now,Hazel, covered in stains,was being held by him and personally led into his changing room. He even opened the private changing room for her.
In the eyes of the parties involved, this might be a“love that breaks the principle“, but in the eyes of the onlookers,it was utterly chilling.

Some of the new hires were confused,just looking around at each other.
However,the senior employees,who had fought through tough battles with me,stayed up late to have meetings to revise plans and climbed from a small department to where we were now,their aces all turned grim.

After Hazel wore it,she deliberately left the top two buttons undone, revealing her delicate collarbones and walked out slowly toward him.“Ken,l still smell like coffee. Why don’t you help me pick another shirt?”
She leaned close to his ear,her tone full of flirtation and coyness and yet Ken just lowered his head and looked at his phone without moving.
He had been refreshing the chat window for five minutes and still there were no new messages.
I literally just walked away like that, without any argument or accusation.I did not turn around or even utter a word of blame.
