Chapter 116
“Rogan…” growled Viktor. “Would never imagine such a thing all by himself! Split personalities are not something that Vampires get once in a while, Kamilla. It doesn’t happen!” He shook his head with a bitter laugh. “I couldn’t even have imagined it if it wasn’t in my head!
“Someone told him for sure,” said Damon with a nod. “Who could it be, if not Rena?”
Kamilla sighed and rested her hands on her hips. Vampires were the most stubborn of all creations.
The doors to the hall opened and Demetrius poked his head in. “Oh! There you
all are.”
He quickly came over to them, his demeanour tense.
Kamilla frowned. “What’s wrong? Are you okay?”
He nodded then shook his head, looking utterly confused. “Yeah, I’m not sure… I just got back from Xavier’s and found the Elders gathered in the courtyard, They looked quite angry and very disrespectfully demanded to see Viktor! What’s going on?”
“Oh, God, no,” said Kamilla. “Already?” She looked at Viktor in mild panic.
“Where are they?” Viktor asked calmly, his eyes narrowed.
Demetrius pointed behind him. “Still outside. There’s no way I was going to allow them in when they were being so belligerent.”
Viktor nodded. “Good.” His mouth suddenly curved up in a smirk. “Rogan’s going all out now. He’s really started a war. Let’s play dirty then.” He looked at Demetrius. “Bring them to the castle meeting hall.”
With a nod, Demetrius turned to leave.
“Wait for me!” called Kamilla and went with him.
Damon looked at Viktor as they headed for the meeting room. “What are you planning?”
Viktor shrugged and rubbed at his throbbing temple. “To deal with Rogan’s bullshit. As usual.”
Kamilla and Demetrius walked ahead of the muttering Elders, leading them to the meeting room.
They halted when, right before the meeting hall door, Rogan suddenly overtook them and gripped the handles himself, turning to the other elders with flourish.
“Witness for yourselves how the so–called King of Onyx lives in a state unworthy of his title,” he told the Elders with glaring eyes.
Kamilla’s fists clenched in anger as she stared at Rogan. Smirking at her, he pushed the doors open and stormed in the room.
Kamilla and Demetrius hurriedly followed, the group of Elders behind them.
Rogan came to a stop at one end of the long table, staring at Viktor who sat on the other end.
Kamilla looked at Viktor with worry, but when she looked at Damon, her heart flat out froze.
The downcast expression on Damon’s face as he stood blankly staring at Viktor had her heart clenching. What was wrong?
Kamilla looked back at Viktor, going closer to him than Rogan had. Viktor looked at her as she approached and smiled. Kamilla stopped in her tracks. Oh, God, no. This couldn’t be happening. Not now,
“There he is!” said Rogan with a clap of his hands. “The King… of Onyx.”

Chapter 116
Kamilla bit her lip hard as Charming grinned at the elders. “Pardon me, gentlemen. Are we having a tea party?”
Closing her eyes, Kamilla lowered her head, her heart racing as she desperately prayed for this to not be happening. This couldn’t be happening!
The Elders approached, staring at Charming like he was a creature from another universe.
“What is the meaning of this, Viktor?!” demanded Vernon, looking positively shocked out of his mind.
Charming blinked at them. “Viktor? Forgive me,
but I’m Prince Charming.”
Rogan threw his head back and laughed, clapping his hands loudly. He waved a hand at Charming. “Look at him! This is who you call your King!
Kamilla glared at Rogan, fighting to resist the urge to rip his face to shreds.
Charming suddenly stood and clapped his hands loudly. “Alright, soldiers, get in line!”
Kamilla’s eyes nearly fell out of her sockets. What in the hell was Charming suddenly doing?!
“I’m General Buttons and I order you to get in line! World War II is on the way and it ain’t gonna be a joke!” he yelled.
Kamilla’s mouth fell open. General Buttons??!! What the fuck was
happening?!
Rogan put a hand over his mouth. “Well, fuck! There’s more than two of them!” he exclaimed with a rumble of laughter as the Vampire Elders looked more and more frightened by the second.
Kamilla watched in utter confusion as General Buttons sighed and dropped back into the chair. Lazily throwing one leg over the arm of the chair, he crooked a finger at Kamilla.
“Come here, Charlemagne!” he said in a deep voice “Get me my microphone. The crowds screaming for Elvis tonight! They love me.”
Rogan shook his head, eyes filled with triumph and excitement. He turned to the Elders with arms held out. “Oh, our dear little Viktor,” he said with a nod. “As you’ve all seen, the Vampire King is in a state that will make Onyx a laughing stock-
Viktor’s booming laughter filled the room, drowning out Rogan’s voice.
Stopping his speech, Rogan looked at Viktor and found him leaning back in his chair, chest shaking with laughter.
“Oh, damn…” muttered Viktor before another wave of laughter hit him and he couldn’t speak. “You should all… you should all see your faces!”
Kamilla stared with wide eyes as Viktor held a fist to his mouth, laughing louder than she’d ever heard him. When she saw Damon’s mouth twitch, she gasped. These jerks! Kamilla’s mouth curved in a relieved grin. She’d nearly died of worry.
The Elders looked at one another in confusion.
Rogan’s face darkened. “You-”
“What?” demanded Viktor, quickly going from laughter to a growl. “Isn’t that what you expected? With your ridiculous rumors! I had to at least give you a show.” Kamilla watched as Viktor’s face darkened. “Give me a reason why I shouldn’t kill you where you stand, Rogan. Just one reason.”
Rogan looked about in a mild panic, before pointing at Viktor. “You… that was acting? That wasn’t an illness?”
Viktor’s mouth curved in a grin as sharp and sinister as the Devil’s. “Sike, motherfucker.”
