“Wesley, I’m fine. Let me disinfect your hand for you,” Camilla said pitifully, looking at him with teary eyes. She then smoothly found the first–aid kit in my home, taking out a bottle of iodine to clean his wound.
“That iodine is from two years ago…”
Realizing it was expired, I stepped forward to warn Wesley, but before I could even touch Camilla, she suddenly staggered back with a dramatic shriek.
“Ah!”
She collided with a chair and immediately clutched her stomach, her face pale with discomfort.
“Nora, I was just trying to help Wesley clean his wound. Why did you push me?” she accused, her tone filled with grievance, before turning her pitiful gaze to Wesley.
“Wesley, my stomach hurts… I think I’ve strained myself,” she whimpered.
Wesley instantly panicked, scooping her up in his arms and glaring at me with fury.
“Nora, I can’t believe you’ve become this kind of person. If anything happens to Camilla or the baby, I won’t forgive
you.”
With that, he stormed out, carrying Camilla, but not before ramming into my shoulder hard enough to nearly knock
me over.
I stood there watching their retreating figures before pulling out my phone and making a call.
“Help me investigate someone.”
Once Wesley was gone, I headed straight to the market, purchased several hidden cameras, and installed them both at home and in Camilla’s apartment.
The apartment Camilla currently lived in was one I had purchased before my marriage. After she became pregnant, she had cried to me about the high costs of prenatal care, and I, feeling sorry for her, had let her move in rent–free.
The place Wesley and I lived in now was a jointly owned apartment, though I had paid 2 million dollars for the down payment while Wesley only contributed 50,000. Despite that, the ownership was split 50-50.
After setting up the cameras, I sat at home, staring quietly at my phone screen until I saw Wesley returning to Camilla’s apartment with her.
As soon as they entered, Camilla threw herself into Wesley’s arms, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“We’re already married now. Legally, I’m your wife. How much longer are you going to hide this from that bitch

Nora?” she said smugly.
Wesley’s hand gently caressed Camilla’s belly, his gaze full of longing.
“Just a little longer. You know Nora’s family owns a company, and she’s an only child. Eventually, everything her family owns will be hers. As long as I keep her happy, won’t all of that become ours?”
Camilla pouted, clearly dissatisfied.
“And what about me and the baby? Don’t forget, I’m carrying your child. Are you planning to keep us in the shadow:
forever?
Wesley patiently reassured her.
“Of course not. Once you have the baby and the child is listed under a complete family, I’ll divorce you and marry her. Once we’re legally wed, I’ll transfer all her assets to you and the baby during the marriage. Once we’ve got the money, what more could you want?”
Camilla finally smiled in satisfaction.
“I can’t wait to see that bitch Nora lose everything,” she sneered.
As I watched the surveillance footage of the two of them, my fists clenched so tightly my knuckles turned white. Never in my worst nightmares had I imagined that the two people I trusted most would betray me together.
But I would make sure this scumbag and that scheming woman paid the price they deserved.
I carefully saved all the surveillance recordings and left the house.
Standing before a luxurious mansion, I pressed the doorbell.
