Things did not go as smoothly as Amber had hoped.
After spending five years with Maggie, Jeffrey’s heart also became uncertain.

Jeffrey discovered that he loved Maggie.
This long–delayed secret, finally, was revealed by himself.
Amber replied coldly, “Oh, so what, I did it on purpose.”
With that, he hung up the phone.

Seeing Jeffrey’s phone calls coming in non–stop, she chuckled coldly and then turned off her phone.
Wrapped in a blanket, I slept for the whole day.
She hesitated to turn on the machine until she woke up again.
One missed call after another popped up on the phone, along with constant messages from Jeffrey.
Most of them asked her why she did it.

Amber intended to call and scold him, but the person who answered the phone was Maggie.

Amber spoke simply, with a cold tone.
Just like telling someone else’s story.
Maggie’s mind was in a state of confusion, unsure of how to react.
Every moment about Amber in my memory had become blurry, but gradually became clear because of her vivid narration.
She used to be jealous when Amber could stand by Jeffrey’s side without any guilt.
Amber was also jealous of her.
So, ironic, everyone is chasing after the precious shining points in others, but forgetting how excellent they themselves are.

He suddenly woke up, ran to the bedroom, and found the bedroom tidy and clean, but the person was no longer there.
A wave of disappointment swept over him.
Jeffrey walked heavily into the kitchen, intending to pour himself a glass of cold water as he always got a headache after drinking.
However, there was a small bowl placed in the tidy kitchen.
He walked over and immediately recognized that it was the sobering tea made by Maggie.
