Three years–over a thousand days–Callan had countless opportunities to end his inappropriate relationship with
Zara.
But he hadn’t. He wanted both his pure love and his passionate affair, arrogantly believing he had hidden everything well and that Lila would never discover the truth.
But are there really walls without cracks? Lies are eventually exposed, and someone who betrays true love doesn’t deserve forgiveness!
“Callan, I don’t want to hear any more of your excuses, and I don’t want to see you again,” Lila said, taking a deep breath and pointing to the door. “Please leave immediately! Otherwise, I’ll call the military to remove you by force!”
Callan naturally refused to leave. He gripped Lila’s wrist tightly, his dark eyes filled with madness and obsession: “Lila, I’m not leaving. You’re my life–unless I’m dead, I will never let you go.”
“I know you’re furious right now, but how can our years of love be defeated by someone like Zara?”
“Besides, I didn’t marry Zara out of love–I had no choice! Zara may be young, but we had slept together. It was her first time, and even though I was drunk, I had to take responsibility.”
“But I don’t love her! You’re the only woman I’ve ever loved. Zara means nothing to me!”
As he spoke, Callan pulled out his phone. To prove to Lila that he truly didn’t care about Zara at all, he played the video of him torturing Zara that night.
“Lila, look, I’ve already avenged you,” Callan’s tone had become deranged. “I promised that anyone who hurt you would pay back tenfold, hundredfold–even if that person was Zara, I’d never spare her!”
Watching the horrific state of Zara in the video, Lila felt chilled to the bone. She hadn’t imagined Callan would be so
brutal to Zara!
She even found Callan terrifying, because she could tell that he had genuinely cared for Zara before.
When he had liked Zara, he had practically worshipped her. But now that he no longer cared, he could turn around and torture her beyond recognition without a second thought!
Though Zara had brought this upon herself and Lila felt no sympathy for her, Callan’s ability to change so dramatically was truly frightening.
This man was capable of anything when he snapped…
“Lila, I was wrong before. I apologize, I repent,” Callan clutched Lila’s hand, begging desperately. “You can hit me, curse me, whatever you want–just please don’t leave me. You’re my life. Without you, I can’t survive…”

Lila closed her eyes, hiding her exhaustion: “It’s too late, Callan. We can’t go back.”
“After that entire night of torture, I have no love left for you–only hatred and fear!”
After saying this, Lila was emotionally and physically drained. She had no energy to continue this struggle with Callan, so she pressed the alarm button, summoning the special forces stationed at the facility!
