I turned around and left the ward and behind me came his hoarse pleading.
“Jeanette, can you still come and see me once in a while?”
I paused for a moment and said indifferently, “I can’t, because I want to give my husband the utmost dignity.”
I also went to see Lenoir by the way. After a month, she was no longer the glamorous and beautiful wealthy lady. Her cheeks were sunken, her expression was haggard and her eyes were
empty.
Seeing she was no longer arrogant, she just smiled bitterly and said, “Jeanette, why do you have a better life than me? I went through so much trouble to marry Frederic Lynch but still couldn’t get pregnant, but you easily married into the Yorks and even got a child. Why?”
“You’re not as smart as me and you’re not as pretty as me, so why do they all like you in the end?”
I looked at her calmly.
“Lenoir, it’s not that I’m lucky, it’s that I never pin my life on men. I use my own efforts to win their respect, not relying on my looks to please them.”
That day, she just silently shed tears.
“I don’t accept it. I don’t accept it. I have worked so hard, why did I end up like this?”
She never understood what she should worked hard for was her own ideals, not counting on
others.
Ten months later, I gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl and the whole York Family was filled with joy.
My mother–in–law, Hannah York, directly gave me a box of jewelry, ranging from jade to gemstones to ten carat pink diamonds. She also bought an amusement park for two babies, saying that she wanted them to be the happiest princes and princesses and have their own amusement park.
My father–in–law, Steven York, waved his pen and gave me 20% of the shares of the York Group.
I quickly refused.
‘Dad, this is too valuable, I can’t take it.”
Steven’s face turned serious.
‘Silly girl, you’re now a member of the Yorks, these things should have been given to you in the first place and you shouldn’t have told me about the value.”
My husband blinked his eyes.
‘Wifey, you’re now a wealthy woman worth tens of millions of dollars. You won’t be interested in anything I give you. I am giving myself to you. You are not allowed to despise me.”
Looking at the big man in front of me with a smile in his eyes, I rubbed his stiff short hair.
‘From now on, you will be the protector of the three of us. How dare I despise you?” Stanley smiled with satisfaction, hugged me and gave me a kiss.

“My dear, you are so kind. I will never leave you in this life and will be your most loyal protector. I love you,”
I nodded with joy. “Hubby, I love you too. Meeting you is the happiest thing in my life.”
He hugged me tightly. We finally didn’t miss out each other and finally walked into each other’s life hand in hand.
