Chapter 8
Night had fallen as I finished the last document and prepared to leave the office.
As I exited the building, a disheveled figure caught my attention.
Brianna was being restrained between two security guards, her clothes rumpled, hair wild.
When she spotted me, her struggles intensified, nearly breaking free from the guards‘ grip.
“MILA!” she shrieked.
“This is all YOUR doing! YOU did this to me!”
“You destroyed my career! You destroyed EVERYTHING!”
I maintained a safe distance, looking down at her with cold detachment.
“Miss Winters, you seem confused about something fundamental.”
“You were fired because you’re incompetent.”
“Your so–called ‘strategies‘ were nothing but plagiarized garbage from the internet–riddled with
amateur mistakes.”
Brianna’s face fluctuated between ashen and flushed, her rage intensifying with every word I spoke.
I continued, my voice calm and cutting:
‘You became Chief Executive Assistant by exploiting Ryker’s sympathy–playing victim to gain his pity.”
‘You’re nothing but a manipulative bitch without actual skills, climbing the ladder by sweet–talking men. That’s your entire identity.”
‘You bullied subordinates and deceived superiors, stealing company resources while nobody dared speak up–all because you hid behind Ryker, weaponizing his trust and protection. Isn’t that right?”
‘You think you matter to me? You’re just a talentless homewrecker who sold sob stories and your body to get ahead.”

“People like you are lower than garbage!”
Brianna’s face drained of all color as my words struck her core.
With a sudden burst of strength, she broke free from the guards and lunged at me.
“SHUT UP! I’LL KILL YOU!”
I didn’t flinch. Just before she could reach me, the security guards tackled her to the ground.
I stepped forward, placing my heel on her hand, and said:
“Brianna, if you ever appear before me again, I’ll make sure your end is excruciating.”
“Killing you would be easier than crushing an ant.”
“Pray you never cross my path again.”
Brianna completely lost it, screaming hysterically:
“You fucking bitch! I’ll kill you! I swear to God I’ll kill you!”
The guards immediately covered her mouth and dragged her away.
That night, an anonymous account leaked compromising photos of Brianna working at a
“gentleman’s club.”
The images showed her with an obsequious expression, entertaining elderly businessmen.
This was quickly followed by security footage of her shoplifting, and chat logs showing how she’d scammed money from boyfriends during college.
I hadn’t ordered any of this, but there were plenty of people eager to curry favor with me.
Those hungry for Sullivan Enterprises‘ approval had taken initiative.
The elder Mr. Hampton used his industry influence to blacklist Brianna, ensuring she couldn’t find work anywhere reputable.
Eventually, she had no choice but to return to the club where she’d started.
Within a month, she reportedly died from illness after physically overexerting herself.
