There were foreign guests present, and yet these two women were throwing barbs at each other, it was embarrassing!
The King’s expression soured, and neither the Queen nor Adele dared to say another word.
Still, the King had his own thoughts. “But what the Queen and Consort Adele said isn’t wrong either, General Garbisch, Jessica, you’re both of marriageable age. Establishing a family should be your priority. Even if you’re going to the southern border, the marriage should come first.”
The King smiled. “In the coming days, I’ll have my mother look into suitable matches for you both. We’ll pick a good date. Get you married first, and then you can go off to earn military honors.”
