Waldo glanced away and walked over to his seat, setting down. He refused to look again in the direction of the rates family
But he noticed that Priscilla was stil standing by, showing no intention of sitting
Waldo humowed his times slightly. “What’s the matter? Are you still feeling unwell?”
Aber being punished with the rod, Priscilla had spent several days recovering in bed and only recently got back on her feet.
Waldo had suggested she rest for a couple mays, but she insisted on coming, so he hadn’t stopped her.
Priscilla lowered her head, glaring at him in frustration. “Don’t you think something’s different about me today?”
Waldo gave herance over. She had clearly dressed lip today. Her face was made up, her appearance polished, and she wore an eye catching purple court gown. When he saw her earlier, he had thought it looked stunning and even complimented her.
But now, not far away, there was Jessica, wearing a plain, fitted outfit. She was sitting within his line of sight, and it felt like no matter where he looked, her presence lingered at the edge of his vision
Her delicate face glowing with a pale radiance, was impossible to ignore. Anyone standing next to her would be immediately overshadowed.
Priscilla, who had looked pretty just moments ago, suddenly seemed… a little dull, almost washed out.
“ko you, not because of your looks. Take a seat he said, trying to soften his tone.
Priscita’s gown was a little too bright, and made her skin look dull.
He would’ve preferred she wear her usual attire–the fitted, practical clothes she wore most often. But then again, even if she wore her usual outfits, she Tacked Jessica’s seductive allure,
From the corner of his eye, Waldo saw Jessica speaking with Garbisch. He couldn’t help but look again.
Suddenly, a hand appeared in his line of sight, blocking his view. “You’ve been looking at her for years, haven’t you had enough?” Priscilla snapped, clearly irritated.
Waldo’s face darkened. “What are you babbling about now?”
“Am I wrong“” she retorted. “She’s just prettier than the rest, using her looks to charm men. You guys are so shallow, always falling for it. If you had a bit more self–control, you wouldn’t be staring at her like this!”
“Shut up!” Waldo shouted. Priscilla hadn’t bothered to lower her voice. She had spoken loud enough for everyone around them to hear.
Waldo’s face flushed with embarrassment, and his imitation grew.
Priscilla, already short–tempered, was now thoroughly enraged. “Waldo, you want me to shut up? You’re the one sneaking glances at another woman, and you tell me to be quiet?”
Her rated voice caused the entire area to fall silent for a moment.
Half of the people around them were too scared of Waldo’s status to say anything, worried that speaking up would tick him off and they’d face the consequences. The other half, however, were watching the scene unfold with great interest.
Priscilla’s reputation was well known throughout Capitalia, and her antics were the talk of the town.
She had made quite a name for herself, and everywhere she went, she became the center of attention. Of course, it was mostly because people were waiting to see her make a fool of herself

Waldo noticed, with a growing sense of annoyance, that nearly everyone nearby whether openly or discreetly was looking their way.
His anger flared up instantly. He wondered, How could she never learn to keep quiet? Does she love to humiliate mein front of everyonat
The first time, he thought her boldness was refreshing. The second time, he had let it slide. But now? He’d had enough.
