“Are you worried about him?” Leanna asked, fixing her gaze on Jessica.
Jessica bit her lip, reluctant to admit it at first.
But in front of her three aunts, she eventually flushed and nodded.
She was truly worried.

At a glance, Jessica could tell this was no ordinary weapon. It was heavy, and its range was far beyond anything she could imagine.
She remembered her mother once saying that this very bow could shoot over five hundred paces, about 150 yards, with devastating power.
“Don’t worry. With Alivia and Karlie here, Kabury County will certainly be safe, What’s more, Elijah will return soon. The people of Kabury County are in good hands.”
Leanna patted Jessica’s shoulder and teased, “If you don’t leave now, it means you don’t trust Karlie and Alivia. That’s quite bold of you!”

Some feelings had gone almost unnoticed when the person was near, yet in their absence, their voice and smile had risen unbidden in mind.
‘Leon, wait for me!‘ She glanced up at the sky.
The heavens loomed heavy, the night growing colder and more ominous.
