Jessica froze for a moment, staring at Monica.
“Of course, someone like me could never marry Garbisch,” Monica smiled gently. “I’m just a maid.”
Jessica wanted to say she was not just a maid. She was part of her family.

Without hesitation, Jessica rushed back to Luminous Pavilion.
Garbisch was waiting in his study.
As soon as Jessica walked in, Garbisch said urgently, “Just got a message. Prince Leon has been…”
Jessica’s heart clenched. “What happened to him?” she demanded, slamming the door shut. She strode over to Garbisch and snatched the note from his hand.
With just a glance at the note, Jessica’s face instantly darkened.
Leon had been ambushed at Vrahmont Mount with thunder grenades!
Those men truly still possessed a large stockpile.
So, the hideout they found earlier was just a small one?
Jessica exclaimed in alarm, “Oh no! That hideout was just bait, and even the tip–off letter General Anthony received was part of the trap. Their real target was Prince Leon!”
