A flicker of interest appeared in Leon’s eyes. He turned to Magnus and said, “Find Andrew and see where he is. Tell him to come watch the show
“Yes, Your Highness,” Magnus responded, quickly turning to leave.
Shawn, growing more anxious, added, “Ms. Yates is on the ground, Your Highness. Don’t you want to help her?”
Leon didn’t say a word and continued walking forward.
When Magnus returned, he saw that Shawn was still restless.
He scoffed coldly, “General Garbisch is right here. If he’s not worried, why are you so worked up?”
Shawn shot back, “But General Garbisch is busy drinking! He has no idea what’s going on with Ms. Yates, so of course, he’s not concerned!”
Magnus gave him an exasperated look. He thought, ‘How has this fool managed to stay by Prince Leon’s side for years? Must be pure luck.
He shrugged and followed Leon, leaving Shawn to stew in his own frustration.
Meanwhile, at the center of the disturbance, Prince Waldo and the two women were still the focus of attention.
Prince Waldo hurried over to help Jessica up.
Just as Jessica reached out, their hands hadn’t even touched when Priscilla quickly stepped forward and yanked Waldo’s hand away.
“So you still have feelings for her?” Priscilla asked.
Priscilla’s temper flared, and she didn’t care who was watching. With her usual fiery attitude, she would make sure everyone saw this.
Waldo was a highly respected figure, and no one dared show him disrespect.
But the higher his status, the more Priscilla felt the need to stand her ground.
She wanted everyone to understand that even someone as powerful as Waldo had to cater to her.
Women in this world were too afraid of their men, always lowering themselves.
She wondered, ‘Why should men always be respected above women? If there were no women, there would be no men–why should the world favor
men?‘
Today, she would show everyone just how different she was from those weak women.
“You said you’ve never touched her, but the rumors are all over the place, saying you’ve been sharing a bed with her every night! Tell me–are those
rumors true?”
Being confronted like this, especially with such harsh words, made Waldo seethe with anger, He was burning with frustration.
He glared at Priscilla. “Enough! If you have something to say, we’ll talk about it back at the mansion!”
“No!” Priscilla’s resolve hardened. She wasn’t going to let Jessica, this scheming woman, get away with it.

“You have to tell everyone right now did you sleep with her? Is she really yours?”
“Priscillat” Waldo’s face darkened even further.
At that moment, Jessica, still lying on the ground, spoke gently, “Miss Mcbride, you’ve misunderstood.

The people around them stood in stunned silence. ‘Where do all the rumors come from, then? Surely, gossip doesn’t spread without reason.
They couldn’t just take her word for it. ‘What does Prince Waldo have to say about it?‘
All eyes turned to Waldo.
Priscilla stood tall, her posture firm. “Waldo, I want you to tell everyone right here and now, whether or not you’ve touched her.”
