And me? I was too caught up in my upcoming wedding bliss to care about this little drama.
Our wedding day came fast.
Garrett threw me the most incredible traditional ceremony. Every single moment felt sacred and meaningful, like the universe itself was blessing our union.
Just as we were wrapping up, someone burst through the doors screaming, “I OBJECT! I OBJECT!”
All our guests turned around to see who the hell was causing a scene.
It was Dylan.
He looked like he’d just gotten out of jail–buzz cut and everything.
He was carrying this huge bouquet and stumbling toward me like some kind of desperate zombie.
Garrett’s security immediately blocked him.
Dylan dropped to his knees right there, holding up the flowers with this pathetic puppy–dog expression. “Emma, I ust got out of jail and heard you were getting married.”
‘Can you give me one more chance? Let me win you back?”
just stared at him like he’d lost his mind.
Garrett whispered in my ear, “This is the loser you used to date? Seriously?”
turned red. “Everyone has their blind spots.”
Garrett and I were quietly roasting Dylan while pointing at him like he was some circus act.
could see Dylan getting pissed, but he quickly covered it up. He threw the flowers down and started slapping imself, yelling, “Emma, I’m sorry! I hurt you and I was wrong!”
‘Emma, I’m sorry I never considered your feelings!”
‘Emma, I divorced Mia! You’re the only one I want!”
‘Emma, please give me another chance! Forgive me!”
Instead of answering him, I turned to my bridesmaids. “Ladies, take notes. This is your classic fuckboy playbook right here–total cautionary tale. Don’t be as unlucky as I was.”

Chapter 11
Everyone started laughing.
The whole room was looking at Dylan with pure disgust. He’d turned himself into a complete joke.
Crashing my wedding to beg for me back wasn’t romantic or brave–it was just pathetic and shameless.
Dylan still looked desperate to change my mind.
Garrett waved his hand, and security dragged Dylan out immediately.
Our wedding continued without a hitch. I could feel nothing but love and genuine happiness from everyone there.
After our honeymoon, I started hearing bits and pieces about what happened to Dylan.
He’d only gotten out of jail because his mom sold their house and used up all their savings to pay back the company.
They were basically broke.
After Garrett’s guys threw him out of our wedding, Dylan tried to force his way back in.
This time the security didn’t hold back–they broke his leg.
>ylan limped home to find all his old friends waiting for him.
hese guys had lost everything–sold their houses, taken out loans–to pay for the damages from that day at my lace. They’d just gotten out of jail themselves.
My family and Garrett’s were too powerful to mess with, so they took all their rage out on Dylan.
fter all, it was Dylan’s wedding where they’d beaten me up trying to “help” him and Mia…
o they cornered Dylan and demanded he pay them back.
was broke. When they realized he couldn’t pay, they beat the shit out of him.
