Everyone around us turned to look. Alexander wrapped his arm around my shoulder and said with a smile, “Your wife? Is your marriage legally recognized? We’re a legally protected married couple!”
Greg’s face darkened. He had listened to Emily back then and never held a proper wedding ceremony with me.
“I had a wedding with her!”
Alexander said, “You mean your engagement ceremony? You didn’t cherish her and cheated on her. Now it’s too late for regrets! We’re legally married!”
These words cut Greg to the core.
Just then, Emily and his friends arrived.
Emily said, “Greg, why torture yourself over one woman? Isn’t it good for us to be together?”
Greg shoved her away and roared, “Get lost! Stay away from me! If it weren’t for you, Isabella wouldn’t have left me!”
Emily staggered back, looking hurt.
She said, “Greg, I’m carrying your child. You stopped loving Isabella long ago. Why are you still acting like this?”

Emily clenched her fists, looked at Alexander and me, and screamed, “It’s all your fault! You think you’re something special now that you’ve latched onto a rich man? Alexander, the child in this woman’s belly isn’t yours. She spent three days and nights with four men. She doesn’t even know whose child she’s carrying! A cheap woman like her doesn’t deserve to be Mrs. Dixon!”
Several people nearby quickly held Emily back, saying, “This is Alexander! You can’t offend him.”
Emily shook them off and said loudly, “I’m not afraid. Alexander, if you like this kind of woman, then marry her!”
I asked, “You’re that certain?”
Emily said, “Of course. During your honeymoon, Greg personally arranged for those men to go to your room. Isabella, you were played by those men, got pregnant with who knows whose child, and then married Alexander.”
Alexander said coldly, “Is that so? I was her first man. And how exactly do you know all this? Now I remember. The front desk staff gave me a room key. After I entered the room, I realized I’d gone to the wrong door, so I went with it. As for those four men, they slept with a prostitute.
