My Arranged 14

Chapter 14

Let’s just treat their drama as entertainment and focus on living our own lives well-that’s what matters most.

We walked hand in hand along the beach in the evening, taking photos at all the scenic spots.

This whole “marriage first, love later” thing actually feels pretty

nice.

Suddenly it started raining at the beach.

The rain wasn’t heavy, so we just slowed our pace and walked leisurely through it.

But the rain got heavier, so we hurried back to the hotel. As soon as we got inside, he pulled me into the bathroom for a long shower.

I couldn’t help but remember something from college. Once I went to visit a friend at the neighboring school and passed by the basketball court.

It was raining that day too, but there were still a few guys playing ball in the rain. I happened to spot Liam.

His white T-shirt was soaked through, clinging to his body and almost transparent, revealing the outline of his abs beneath his broad shoulders..

12.52

I found myself stopping in my tracks, mesmerized.

When the rain stopped, the guys started peeling off their wet

shirts.

Liam also took off his shirt to wring out the water, then quickly put it back on.

When he turned around, our eyes met directly.

His gaze was clear and calm, but when he saw me, he obviously froze for a moment. His ears turned bright red, and he awkwardly looked away.

“Liam, you’re in pretty good shape,” I teased.

But he just walked away without looking back.

“Come here, let me dry your hair,” Liam’s voice interrupted my memories.

I obediently walked over to him, enjoying his service.

I’d had him blow-dry my hair a few times before, and he was getting better at it.

After finishing, he put down the hair dryer, carried me to the center of the bed, and leaned down to kiss me.

I gently wrapped my arms around his neck, feeling the warmth of his body.

I asked, “Did you have a crush on me in college? You even blushed when you saw me?”

Liam chuckled, “When did I ever blush?”

I described the scene from back then, and he gradually remembered it too.

He smiled, his eyes tender, as if moonlight was rippling through them.

He said, “Shouldn’t I be asking you—if you still remember me taking off my shirt after all this time, weren’t you already thinking about me?”

I denied it, “Absolutely not.”

His lips brushed against my earlobe, “Still saying no?”

I had to surrender, “Fine, fine, I was thinking about you.”

Late that night, as I was drifting off to sleep, I vaguely heard him whisper in my ear, “I did like you, but I never thought I could have you.”

“But now I have you, Mrs. Grant.”

His family’s long mumereno more

and wear a cold mask.

He met a girl who made his heart skip a beat at first sight, but he knew clearly that there was a huge gap between them.

He was still young, had no money, and needed to work desperately to earn it.

He didn’t want the person he loved to suffer with him.

He liked her, but never dared to hope he could have her.

But he still had his selfish desires-he wanted her to remember his name, wanted to leave even the slightest deep impression in her memory.

So he signed up for the debate competition that wouldn’t earn him money, didn’t really interest him, and was somewhat a waste of time.

And now, she was right beside him.

She was his wife.

He loved her deeply.

The End.
