Chapter 19
Liam watched her anger without arguing, just a faint smile.
Seeing his expression only made Eliza angrier. “Liam, we’re divorced. Stop this! If you don’t quit it, I might just close up shop.”
Liam just stood there, head down like a scolded student.
“Liza, I’ve never been good at chasing girls. This is the only way I know–same way I got you back
then.”
Eliza froze.
It was true–Liam didn’t know how to chase girls. He only knew how to clumsily display his
possessiveness. She had been attracted to this awkward love, believing he would only ever be this
way with her. Who could have known that this same man would end up hurting her?
“Liam, don’t wate time.” She laughed coldly. “I’ve made it clear. We’re DONE.”
Eliza continued, “Julian and I are getting married. Please get out of our world.”
“Married?”
Liam froze, his whole body tense as a cold numbness spread through him.
“Married? You’re getting married?” He stepped forward, gripping her wrist so tightly it seemed he
might snap it.
Eliza endured the pain, gritting her teeth. “Yes, we’re getting married. So, stop this crap!”
“No, I won’t allow it!”
He trapped her in his arms, desperately kissing her, refusing to let go no matter how she fought.
Liam kissed her forcefully, as if trying to make her part of himself.
“Liam, you jerk!”
“Yeah, I am! I went fucking crazy the moment I lost you!”

Chapter 19
The pine’s sharp scent surrounded her, sinking deep into her senses as Liam’s teeth grazed her neck, his gaze smoldering with desire, tracing the delicate curve of her loosened strap.
“Liza, I screwed up–everything back then was my fault. I never should’ve given anyone else the love that was always meant for you.”
“Please, just one chance. I swear I’ll never mess up again. I’ll be the Liam who’s all
yours–completely, forever.“”
Tears welled in Eliza’s eyes as she struggled, feeling sick to her stomach, but the more she fought, the tighter Liam held her.
“Eliza!” It was Julian.
“Julian!” Eliza cried out, her voice trembling.
Julian punched him hard. Liam staggered but still wouldn’t let go of Eliza. Then he grabbed Liam’s wrist and twisted hard. With a crack, Liam dislocated it!
He pulled Eliza behind him protectively and placed his jacket over her shoulders and hugged her ightly.
‘Eliza, it’s okay. You’re safe.”
Don’t look back, sweetheart. Just go home.”
Leave everything else to me, okay?”
He pressed his car keys into her hand. “Babe, go home.”
Eliza nodded, hugging herself as she ran out.
Seeing her start the car, Julian turned back to Liam.
His face was cold, his eyes burning with anger.
Liam, stop this. It’s only hurting her.”
Do you even fucking know? She still wakes up screaming. Nightmares of horses crushing her ribs,
of being abandoned on some icy mountain, snow piling up to bury her alive!”
Liam stood frozen, his anger instantly vanishing.

“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to… I’m so sorry…”
He mumbled, unable to say anything but apologies.
“If you truly regret, leave her alone.”
Julian suddenly threw a punch, making Liam stagger, blood trickling from his lip.
Liam didn’t fight back, just stood there in a daze, still muttering “I’m sorry.”
Seeing him like this, Julian said nothing more and left.
Liam stood in the shop for a long time before coming to his senses.
When he returned the next day, there was a sign on the door.
“Shop For Sale.”
Liam stared at it for a very long time, then finally taking a step back and walking away.
