Chapter 1
Everyone knew Liam Harris was completely devoted to Eliza Quinn.
He’d been chasing after her for ten years and spoiling her just as long. Even the tiniest little frown from her would have him worried sick for days.
Yet this same Liam Harris betrayed her THREE WHOLE TIME.
The first time, he was drugged at a business gala by an enemy and slept with a college student named Maya Bennett.
The day Eliza asked for a divorce, he sent that girl overseas and stood in the rain outside Eliza’s
apartment for three days and nights.
“Liza, I screwed up, Give me one more chance. Please…” Looking at his pale face, she compromised.
The second time, Eliza accidentally encountered him at the hospital accompanying Maya to a
prenatal checkup.
His eyes were bloodshot. “Babe, listen to me.I got into a horrible accident, Two weeks ago during my
business trip abroad. The car was about to explode–she pulled me out. She saved my life.”
“Then we found out she was pregnant,” he continued desperately. “My grandmother threatened to
kill herself if I didn’t keep the baby.”
He pulled Eliza against his chest, his voice breaking. “Please don’t leave me. I swear to God, once she has the baby, she’s gone. The kid stays at my family’s estate. You’ll never have to see either of them.
Ever.”
And fool that she was, she believed him.
The third time, he outbid Eliza at an auction for her late mother’s sapphire necklace–the only
mement she had left of her.
But Liam kept raising his paddle more aggressively with each bid, finally making a no–limit bid that, no matter how high anyone else bid, he would always offer a higher price, only to give the necklace to Maya.
When Eliza confronted him, he merely sighed. “Maya’s been really struggling with pregnent

depression lately. She reallyu wants that necklace.”
“Can’t you just let her have this one thing?”
In that moment, Eliza suddenly laughed, tears streaming down her face.
“And if I don’t?”
Liam frowned. “Liza, seriously. Maya’s about to give birth. Once the baby’s here, things will go back
to how they were.”
Eliza stared at him, her heart breaking. “Back to normal? ”
What’s normal anymore? When she was the only one in his eyes? When he would drive three hours in a thunderstorm just to buy her a strawberry cake?
Did he even remember anymore?
“Liam…” Maya’s voice called weakly from behind them. She leaned against the doorframe, one hand on her swollen belly. “I think I twisted my ankle… it really hurts…”
Liam’s expression changed instantly. He immediately pushed Eliza aside and rushed over to lift Maya into his arms.
His shoulder violently collided with Eliza as he passed. She stumbled backward, her side slamming hard against the corner of a table. The pain was so intense that cold sweat immediately soaked through the back of her shirt.
“Liam!” Her voice shaking.
But he didn’t even look back. He carried Maya away with urgent strides, leaving Eliza standing
there, totally lost.
Eliza laughed as tears streamed down her face. A life–saving debt, plus a child that was his – Liam, you’ll never be able to leave her for the rest of your life.
How could they ever go back?
She stumbled to her feet, carefully wiping the blood from her temple, and got into her car.
‘Home, Mrs. Harris?” her driver asked cautiously.

“No,” she said, closing her eyes. “Take me to my lawyer’s office.”
Two hours later, Eliza arrived at the hospital with fresh divorce papers.
Outside the VIP suite, the security guards lowered their heads awkwardly when they saw her.
Standing at the end of the hallway, she watched as Liam had rented the entire floor for Maya, with
doctors and nurses available at a moment’s notice. He never left her bedside, becoming visibly
anxious at her slightest discomfort, as if the world were ending.
“I’m really craving that tiramisu from Westside Bakery,” Maya said softly.
Without hesitation, Liam grabbed his keys. “Wait here. I’ll be back soon.”
Eliza stood in the shadows, feeling heartbroken.
After he left, she entered the room.
Maya’s eyes filled with tears.“Miss Quinn… you’re not mad at me, are you? I really didn’t mean to. I
just liked the necklace… so much.”
She choked up.“I know Liam outbid you for the necklace and gave it to me, but… he only did it so I
could feel better and have a safe delivery. He’s still thinking of you, Miss Quinn… even while he’s
with me. I can feel it.”
‘Stop pretending. It’s just us here.” Eliza said, unimpressed.“He paid you five million to leave. But
you came back, pregnant. I know exactly what you want.”
Maya’s tears dried up instantly.
‘I’m done with this.” Eliza handed her the divorce papers. “He won’t sign if I give them to him. Make nim sign without knowing.”
Maya bit her lip. “Oh, you’re misunderstanding. I’d never try to come between you two…‘”
‘One chance,” Eliza cut her off. “Think carefully.”
After a long moment studying the papers, Maya reached for them. “…Thank you, Miss Quinn, for allowing our little family to be together.”
Our little family.

The words twisted in Eliza’s chest..
“Then, I wish your family of three… eternal happiness.”
Back at the mansion, Eliza pulled out a cardboard box and began collecting everything connected to
Liam.
They’d grown up together–their history stretching back to childhood.
The first item she placed in the box was a photo album.
On the first page was a picture of them at five years old–he wore a little suit and stood stiffly beside
her, secretly clutching the hem of her dress. His mother had told her he’d gotten angry that day,
refusing to be photographed unless Eliza was beside him.
The first sign of his possessiveness.
The second item was a button from his high school uniform.
On graduation day, girls had scrambled to collect buttons from boys they liked. Eliza had stayed in
her seat, uninterested in the tradition. Later, she found his button on her desk with a note: “Only take
mine.”
By then, he’d already learned to use his status as the Harris heir to keep other boys away from her.
The third item was her engagement ring.
On her twenty–first birthday, he’d proposed on a massive billboard in the heart of downtown. As a
helicopter showered them with rose petals, he’d slipped the diamond on her finger.
“From this day until forever,” he’d promised, “I’m yours, Liza. Only yours.”
If Maya hadn’t appeared, Eliza had truly believed they would grow old together.
She laughed bitterly and threw the entire box in the trash.
The next morning, she woke to commotion downstairs.
As she walked out, she saw servants carrying bags of luxury items into the living room.
Hermès handbags, Cartier jewelry, Chanel couture–a fortune in luxury items.

Maya stood in the center of it all, shaking her head with practiced modesty. “Liam, this is too much. never expected anything like this…”
Liam gazed at her tenderly. “Just accept it. You being happy means the baby’s happy.”
As he spoke, he spotted Eliza on the stairs.
His expression forze. “Liza, sorry about this. It’s just to keep Maya happy. Whatever you want, it’s yours next time.”
Before Eliza could respond, Maya spoke up softly. “Actually, Liam, I’ve prepared something special for your wife. It’s what she wants most.”
She approached Eliza and handed her an envelope.
Inside were the divorce papers–signed with Liam’s distinctive flourish, the same handwriting that once penned her love notes years ago,
