Valerie sneered in disgust and said, “Like me? What do you have to offer? I’m already married. Are you trying to be a mistress?”
“That’s not what I mean!” Micah replied, his voice trembling with urgency. “I really do love you. Give me some time, and I will marry you. But Valerie, just can’t stand seeing you with someone like him. If you divorce him, I’ll take care of you.”
Valerie scoffed and said, “So you want me to divorce him and be your secret lover?”
Micah froze and said, “No, just temporarily. I will give you a legitimate place by my side.”
Valerie pushed him away with disgust, saying, “Micah, are you really that full of yourself? When you confessed to me in high school, I rejected you. Now you’re about to get engaged to Valentina, and you still think I would leave my husband to be your mistress?”
“Are you really willing to spend your life with an old man? Every night, crushed under all that fat, don’t you feel disgusted? I feel disgusted just thinking
about it.”
Micah’s words grew sharper with each sentence, his frustration mounting.
How could she reject such a good man like him, who was willing to lower himself for her, and agree to be his lover? Valerie truly had no appreciation for what was before her.
Clearly, she was hopelessly shameless. Micah was about to say something when he saw Valerie laughing like she had just heard the funniest joke. Her laugh was dripping with sarcasm as she said, “Who told you my husband is some old man, with fat and rolls? My husband is 26, taller than you, handsomer than you, wealthier than you, and treats me so well
“Every day he wants to hold me in his hands, spoiling me like the treasure I am. If I asked him for the stars, he’d bring them down for me. The only reason I’d agree to be with you is if I lost my mind.”
Valerie’s gaze turned cold as her eyes scanned Micah, as though she were looking at a joke. “I really hate you, Micah. You disgust me.”
Micah’s mind seemed to snap.
His face darkened immediately, and with what seemed like deep pain, he gritted his teeth and said, “I’ve given you my heart, and this is how you repay
me?”
Without warning, Micah lunged at Valerie, his large frame looming over her, but Valerie instinctively flinched and said, “What are you doing…”
Before she could finish, Valerie felt a tightening around her waist, and suddenly, she was yanked backward.
A scream of pain echoed from Micah, sounding like he was in excruciating agony.
Valerie froze, watching as Micah writhed on the ground, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
She turned around, only to meet the deep, intense gaze of a man.
At the same time, the arm that had been holding her tightly around the waist tightened further, pulling her into the broad, solid embrace.
The familiar face, the familiar scent, caused Valerie to freeze, disbelief settling in as she stared at the man behind her. “You… how are you here?”
When did he arrive? How had she not noticed?
If he had been here all along, then all the things she had just said about how her husband treated her… had he heard all of it?
Valerie’s face flushed with heat, and she lowered her head in shame.
Micah struggled to get up, his eyes filled with fury as he saw Valerie held intimately by a stranger. His vision turned red with rage as he shouted, “Valerie, pretending to be pure in front of me, but look at this, anyone can take advantage of you, huh?”

What stung Micah even more was the sight of the man who was holding Valerie. His tall, commanding posture exuded an aura of arrogance and streneth his presence unmistakable.
The coldness in his gaze made Micah instinctively shudder, feeling an overwhelming sense of danger.
Then, Micah saw him walking toward them, still holding Valerie.
The golden light from the overhead spotlights shone on him, casting an intricate interplay of shadows and light, making him look mysterious and profound.
Aiden looked down at Micah from above, his deep, intense eyes filled with ice as he spoke,
“A secret lover?”
Micah’s eyes widened in shock, instinctively shrinking back.
But before he could react, Aiden’s foot landed squarely in

Valerie, startled, instinctively shrank further into Aiden’s arms.
Aiden kicked again, his voice cold as ice, “A sincere heart?”
Micah never expected Aiden to be so ruthless. He scrambled back, trembling, and shouted, “Who… who are you… ah!”
Aiden’s foot pressed down on his stomach, and with chilling calm, he said, “I’m the ‘fat‘ man you’re talking about.”
Micah felt like he might vomit. Hearing these words, he panicked, “How… how is this possible?”
The words were hard to get out, but seeing Valerie nestled against Aiden, so obedient and trusting in his arms, Micah was already half–convinced.
But… how could this be?
Wasn’t Valentina the one who said Valerie’s husband was old, ugly, and bald?
The young man before him seemed to fit none of those descriptions.
Suddenly, Micah recalled Valerie’s earlier words: “My husband is 26, taller than you, handsomer than you, wealthier than you, and treats me well…”
Could it be true?
Micah’s stunned gaze was full of confusion and panic, the intense pain from his body making him twitch. It was clear Aiden hadn’t gone easy on him.
Valerie turned her head, holding tightly to Aiden’s waist, and said, “Stop.”
As soon as she spoke, people began to gather around, drawn by the commotion.
When they saw Micah’s battered state, many were shocked, especially when they saw Valerie being held by a strange man. The shock quickly turned into gossip.
Valentina had also heard the noise and rushed over. Seeing Micah lying in a heap, she ran up and called, “Micah, are you okay?”
Micah, gritting his teeth in pain, could barely hold back the urge to strangle Valentina at the sight of her.
It was her who had been telling him that Valerie’s husband was an old, ugly man, that fat piece of meat. If it hadn’t been for her cor Micah would never have had these thoughts…
He grabbed Valentina’s hand tightly, his voice seething with anger. “Look at what you’ve done…”
Valentina, utterly confused, stared at him blankly.
But as she looked up, her eyes fell on Valerie–and then the strikingly handsome man standing next to her.

Valentina’s heart skipped a beat, her breath quickening as her gaze was drawn to him.
The crowd started whispering.
“Who is that?”
“They’re holding on to each other so tightly… wasn’t Valerie married?”
“I’ve heard rumors about Valerie and Micah, but this situation looks like two men fighting over one
woman.”
The noise grew louder, and Everett soon arrived, his face paling
as he saw Micah on the ground. “What’s going on?”
Aiden had already pulled his foot back and was looking at Everett, his voice calm but cold as he said, “Everett.”
