Adrienne’s jaw dropped in disbelief.
The assistant suddenly realized and blurted out, “Wait? Are you planning to use this for An Eternal Summer?”
Russell shot his assistant a warning glare. The assistant slapped a hand over his mouth and stumbled back a step, looking mortified.
“An Eternal Summer?” Valerie echoed, a his

Valerie couldn’t help feeling pleasantly surprised.
An Eternal Summer was a bittersweet family drama about an educated youth sent to the poor area during the a revolution, who had a child with a local.

Of course, Valerie couldn’t exactly tell Russell she was from the future and had already seen the show. Meeting his gaze, she casually asked, “So, when is
the show supposed to premiere?”
Russell said, “Almost there. It’s already passed review. Once we finalize the soundtrack, it’ll be ready to air.”

Back when she watched the show, Valerie had always felt the original soundtrack failed to capture the right emotional tones.
Sure enough, Russell was utterly delighted. After Valerie played two more pieces, he wasted no time making the call. “How about 1.5 million dollars for all three pieces?”
The assistant gasped sharply, his eyes widening in shock, while Adrienne clapped a hand over her mouth in shock.
‘Three songs?‘ Adrienne gasped, wondering, ‘1.5 million dollars? Just for three songs?”
Valerie simply smiled and said, “If that’s your best offer, then we’re done here. Goodbye.”

The assistant couldn’t help but exclaim, “Man, if I’d known songwriting was this profitable, I should’ve stuck with music lessons back in the day.”
Adrienne nodded with bitter regret.

Half an hour had passed by the time Valerie and Russell finally emerged from the office.
Both of them looked relaxed, clearly having had a pleasant conversation.
Upon leaving Shelton Entertainment and learning that Valerie’s three songs had sold for a whopping 4 million dollars, Adrienne nearly lost her mind. “Valerie, you’re my ultimate idol. I worship you.”
