Luke remained silent,a feeling of melancholy rising within him. So,when Zelea left him back then,she took this pill?
What kind of emotions did she have when she swallowed it at that time?
“Mr.Gritorn,are you really sure about this? Your mother and father might not be able to handle such a blow…”
He said nothing,only fiddling with the pill in his hand. He no longer wanted to live a life like a walking corpse.
He had listened to his parents,sending Zelea to prison and then listened to them again, focusing on managing the company.
Now,he wanted to live for himself.
“I’ll give you part of the shares. Remember,don’t let them find out about the fake death.”
Luke swallowed the pill and quietly lay back on the bench,feeling as though a pair of hands were tightening around his throat. The air grew thinner and thinner.
‘Zelea…I’m coming back for you.‘
The secretary,filled with grief,dialed Carol’s number. Soon after,the entire company was filled with the sound of weeping.
Luke was gone.
“No!That’s impossible! My son was perfectly healthy. How could he just die like that?”
Carol’s blood pressure surged,a buzzing in her head. She gripped the sofa,her face twisted in anguish.
Upon learning it was suicide born from deep suffering,she was overwhelmed with regret.She beat her chest,sobbing uncontrollably.
“Luke,Mom was wrong…I shouldn’t have held you back. I shouldn’t have trapped you here. Please,I’m begging you,wake up…As long as you wake up,I’ll agree to anything you want!”
But the man on the couch remained completely still,his face pale and lifeless.
The elderly couple both fainted in succession from the shock.An ambulance rushed over and the entire scene descended into chaos.
Amid the disorder, the secretary took Luke’s“body“to a hotel,placing beside him a newly issued identity and pre–purchased plane ticket for travel abroad.
He returned to the hospital with a forged organ donation certificate.
When Carol saw the signature and fingerprint at the bottom of the document,her heart skipped two beats. She grabbed the secretary’s arm,screaming in fury.
“Who took him away?Why didn’t you tell us anything about this?”
The secretary looked troubled,hesitating before speaking.“This was Mr. Gritorn’s final wish. He didn’t want anyone to know. He’s been treated as a silent body donor and his organs were donated to those in need…”
But Carol could no longer hear the rest. The shock overwhelmed her. She began foaming at the

The secretary lowered his gaze,glancing at the message on his phone. A faint smile crept onto his lips.
[Luke had awakened. He was already on the plane to a foreign land.]
This time,he hoped he would truly find happiness.
At that moment,the plane soared across the vast ocean and touched down at the airport in
Mecima.
A refreshing breeze swept by,gilding the sky with a layer of golden light.Zelea stood at the wedding venue,going through the ceremony alongside Dion.
The priest was reciting the vows with them,line by line.
Unlike most couples,they were to solemnly ask each other that sacred question.
“Wait!”
Zelea turned around. The moment she saw who had arrived,the smile on her face froze and the light in her eyes dimmed instantly.
‘Has he recovered from his injuries? Why is he here again and still trying to disturb my life?
Dion turned at the sound too,his whole body exuding a sharp,threatening aura. His knuckles cracked as he clenched his fists.
He had already exhausted every means to stall Luke’s steps,to suppress his career and yet,Luke still showed up.
No one would be allowed to ruin his wedding.
