“What’s wrong,feeling heartbroken?Just like how Sovia deliberately smashed it back then,this is just a fake and you feel pain for it. Have you ever thought about how much pain I felt?”
Luke stood frozen, recalling his previous attitude.It felt like he had been slapped across the face,his cheek burning with shame.
“Luke,this is the last time I say this.Get lost.”
The jewelry designed by Zelea received a great response and the company intended to mass–produce it.
She attended a gala with Dion and after a few drinks,she leaned lightly on his shoulder,feeling
carefree.
However,she didn’t expect to run into Luke.
‘How is he still following me?‘
“Zelea,who is he?“Luke scanned the man from head to toe,clearly recognizing him as the one who had confessed on the cruise and he was filled with hostility. He would not allow any man to covet his woman.
“This is a gift for our wedding anniversary.I didn’t give it to you before…”
He was interrupted mid–sentence as Zelea snatched the diamond necklace from his hands.
The emerald diamond reflected a bluish–green glow under the night sky,luxurious and extravagant,clearly worth a fortune.
She casually glanced at her ring finger,where a faint mark of a ring seemed to silently remind her of the painful past.
The effects of the alcohol started to wear off and an overwhelming sense of nausea rose from her stomach.
Luke thought she actually liked him and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
“You really think I don’t know? This is the same necklace you gave to Sovia,right?Luke,after all this time,how can you still make people feel disgusted!”
She forcefully threw the jewelry into the drain,a proud smile on her face as if saying, “What can you do about it?”
She caught the attention of Dion, who became mesmerized.
“Zelea,it’s okay,throw whatever you want,as long as you come back with me.Sovia has already been sent away. She has faced the consequences for her actions and received punishment. Let’s start over,okay? Didn’t you say you love me the most?”
Hearing this,Zelea merely shook her head.
It wasn’t enough. His punishment wasn’t enough.
“Do you know why I dug up the ashes in the backyard of the villa?” Her nails dug into her flesh and the hatred in her heart surged like a raging wave, endless and unstoppable.“.
“Jose’s ashes were thrown away by her,replaced by a dog’s ashes. What you’ve been commemorating all this time is just a dog.”

She watched with satisfaction as Luke’s face turned pale,feeling a sense of dark pleasure.
“Jose was thrown away!I don’t even know where he was thrown!When I wake up in the middle of the night,I can’t find him. Do you know how much I’ve been falling apart! Why should I forgive you?”
Luke was struck dumb,his eyes hollow,devoid of color,as if all his soul had been drained.
Suddenly,he let out a heart–wrenching scream,his voice filled with despair and helplessness.
A metallic taste rose at the corner of his mouth.
His eyes were filled with bloodshot veins,tears mixed with blood falling down.
For six whole years, he had kept the killer of his child by his side and sent his wife to prison.
Commemorating a dog.
A sharp pain twisted in Zelea’s heart and she closed her eyes,unwilling to recall it any longer.
She passed by him and left with Dion.
The entire journey was silent.
When she came back to her senses,the car had already stopped in front of a coffee shop.
“I think you need to find someone to talk to.”
