The news of Luke’s suicide reached Mecima,thousands of miles away. The incident stirred up a storm,dominating the headlines of major news outlets.

“Did that scumbag think he was being all romantic,slitting his wrists in front of your tombstone Ridiculous!I heard his family saved him.Why didn’t he just die already!”
Zelea was momentarily stunned.She hadn’t expected that he would try to kill himself.
Then she smiled and shook her head.
She didn’t believe for a second that he missed her.
He had just spent six years hating the wrong person and now he couldn’t bear the weight of the truth.
If he had never learned the truth,if he had never found out he’d been betrayed,maybe he would have never cared whether she lived or died.
Just like Jose,vanishing into the world like a speck of dust.

Their worlds were like two parallel lines,destined never to intersect again in this lifetime.
After she finished speaking,she looked up and met Dion’s gaze. For some reason,her face suddenly flushed and she quickly looked away.
Strangely,she always had the feeling that this man would glance at her from time to time.
Maybe she was just overthinking it.
‘Congratulations on escaping your misery. How about we celebrate tonight?”
There was a thoughtful look in Dion’s eyes.
Zelea wanted to decline,but Myra pulled her along,leaving her no choice but to attend the dinner.
During the time they’d spent together,she had clearly felt that Dion seemed to pay special
attention to her.
Even Myra said the same thing.
‘I’ve never seen Mr.Keith care so much about anyone before.Zelea,I’ve worked under him for years and never heard a single rumor about him. You better seize the opportunity!If you two really end up together…”
Zelea hurriedly covered her mouth,afraid he might hear it.
He was the CEO of a trillion–dollar company. How could he possibly be interested in someone ike her?
She couldn’t enjoy the entire dinner, barely tasting anything and only felt relieved when it was
over.
But to her surprise,Dion suggested privately that the two of them go on a cruise to see the ocean

With the sea breeze brushing past her ears,Zelea looked up at the distant starry sky in a daze.Suddenly,she felt a cool sensation on her neck.
Looking down,she saw that the company’s most treasured artifact had been placed around her neck by Dion.
“Mr.Keith,this…”
“Call me Dion.”
Under the soft lights and surrounded by the gentle scent of flowers,she turned around in surprise,only to realize that a sea of roses had appeared behind her.
It was white roses,her favorite.
Dion was standing right beside her,gazing at her with deep affection.
