At that moment,in a village in Mecima,sunlight filtered through the branches and gently landed on Zelea’s face. Her fingers twitched slightly and she slowly opened her eyes.
A wave of soreness washed over her and she couldn’t help but let out a muffled groan.
“Thank goodness!Zelea,you’re finally awake.I was so worried!”
Myra rushed over, but just as she reached her, she accidentally touched Zelea’s injury,causing he to jump back in fright as if shocked.
“If it weren’t for you,l probably would have ended up in a mental hospital, “Zelea said,her eyes curving into a smile,genuinely grateful to the person in front of her.
If she had really been mistaken for a mental patient, her life would have been miserable from
then on.
“I hope the Gritorn Family wasn’t involved in my death.”
Myra nodded,confirming that she had successfully deceived them.
“You don’t even know,that scumbag Luke cried like a baby!He insisted on burying your ashes in the Gritorn Family plot,but I stopped him. He doesn’t deserve it!”
As she finished speaking,a moment of hesitation flickered across her face.“However, he said that what happened in prison wasn’t something he arranged. His expression didn’t seem like he was lying.”
Zelea paused for a moment,then chose not to respond.
Even if it wasn’t him,so what? The past was already behind her and there was no need to dwell
on who was responsible.
Moreover,she had already died in that accident,so there was no need to dwell on the past. From now on,she just had to look ahead.
“By the way,I want to introduce you to an important person. He’s my boss and it’s thanks to him that everything worked out this time.”
Zelea propped herself up with effort and when she raised her eyes,she met a pair of deep,gentle
eyes.
“This is Dion Keith,a well–known jewelry tycoon in the area. He’s the one who arranged for the driver and the medicine that helped you get out of this.”
“Thank you.If I have the chance, I’ll definitely repay you.”
At present,Zelea was penniless,so she could only silently keep this gratitude in her heart.
Unexpectedly, Dion waved his hand casually.
“Friends are everywhere.It was just a small favor,nothing to be overly thankful for.”

A flicker of joy passed through Zelea’s eyes. She never expected that the issue that had troubled her for so long would be solved so easily.
The two girls embraced tightly.

In the following half month,as her wounds healed,Zelea took the introduction letter and joined the jewelry company,determined to start from the bottom.

To prove herself,she immersed herself in her work,determined to breal the biases of her colleagues. She gazed at the design draft in her hands, overwhelmed with mixed emotions. The jade pendant,shaped like a coiling dragon,was embedded with pale green diamonds,giving it a lively and vivid appearance.
This pendant had always been a lingering concern for her.Redesigning and remaking it felt like a way to finally fulfill a long–held wish..
Soon,the design model was released,receiving unanimous praise from everyone. After learning about the design concept behind it,the piece sold out in no time.
Due to this success,Zelea was promoted to Design Director.
As she gently caressed the jade pendant hanging from her chest,her eyes turned towards the horizon,finally breaking into a smile of relief.
“Mom,can you see?I did it.”
