For two full days, he remained by the grave,not drinking a single drop of water.
The Gritorn company was in disarray and the secretary,holding a stack of documents,paced restlessly,unable to do anything.Desperate,they went to the villa to get his signature.
But Luke turned a deaf ear to it,his focus only on gently caressing the remaining half of the family photo.
It was the last memento left to him by Zelea. But unexpectedly,his mother dug up the urn.
“Mom!What are you doing?”
Luke was held tightly by bodyguards on both sides,unable to move,his eyes helplessly watching as his mother crushed Zelea’s ashes.
In that moment,his throat tightened painfully and his eyes, bloodshot,seemed like they might bleed.
“You’re a distinguished CEO,what’s the matter with you constantly hovering around the ashes This woman never behaved when she was alive and now even in death, she has to affect my son.I’m going to scatter her ashes!”
His mother impatiently kicked the ashes,cursing as she dragged him,“What’s so great about tha woman,that you’re still obsessing over her,refusing to eat or drink!”
But no matter what she said,Luke couldn’t hear her.
His eyes were hollow,his expression numb and lifeless.
The world before him turned white and he fainted.
In his dazed state,he seemed to see the soul of Zelea standing by the bed,quietly staring at him.
She was burned all over,her body glowing bright red,staring at him unblinkingly.
She asked him why he had sent her to the mental hospital. Why didn’t he believe her?
Sweat soaked through his back and Luke murmured as he gradually lost his clarity.“Zelea,Zelea!
He suddenly sat up,only to realize that it had all been a dream.
‘Son,you’ve finally woken up!All of that was a lie,l’ve already called a priest. Once he performs ritual,all these evil things will be driven away!”
Luke instantly lost his temper, pushing his mother away and shouting harshly for the priest t
leave.
‘What evil things! That’s my wife,the person I love the most. She’s not some evil spirit!Mom,yo forced her to leave back then,constantly looked down on her. Now that she’s gone,can’t you le her rest in peace?”
Carol was taken aback,gritting her teeth in silence.Finally,in a fit of rage,she stormed out. Luke remained sitting on the bed,lost and helpless. He stood up and began searching around the room,desperately looking for any trace of her.
“Mr.Gritorn,Miss Nortam…is already gone.”
He paused at the sound but didn’t seem affected,continuing his search.

He ordered the kitchen to prepare her favorite dishes and bring them to her room.
“Although Zelea is gone,her soul must still be here!If I wait patiently,she will definitely appear She loves me,she will come back to find me!”
He refused to listen to anyone,staying in the bedroom,staring at the plate of pastries.
For three consecutive days, he didn’t close his eyes.
Until insects started crawling on the surface of the food.
“Zelea,why haven’t you appeared yet?I can’t hold on much longer…”
He huddled in the corner,his eyes bloodshot,red veins covering the entire eyeball.
He couldn’t grasp anything.
He couldn’t grasp his son’s cold hand,couldn’t hold onto the iron bed when Zelea was pushed away,not even able to grasp the plate of pastries.
“I’m sorry…”
Tears flowed uncontrollably and suppressed sobs echoed through the bedroom.
The servants exchanged silent glances,placing tissues at the bedroom door.
They prayed silently for Zelea,hoping she would be reborn into a good family.
That was all they could do.
