Damian pressed his face into my palm. “And then, I finally found you.”

I tightened my grip on his hand. Compared to the turbulent past he described, my own experience was barr en. “I was in a coma for over a year. When I woke up six months ago, everyone told me Logan and I were childhood sweethearts. Then we got married.” I shook my head slowly. “But it always felt wrong. I never felt like he was my lover, let alone my… husband.”
Damian suddenly leaned in, his arm wrapping around my back. “Don’t be afraid,” he whispered. “That will never happen again. I’ve already gotten everything I need to know out of Logan.”
But Logan held such intense malice for Damian. Why would he have confessed everything so easily?
