A neat nine–grid collage filled the screen.
In the picture, Alicia was wearing the same light pink silk pajamas I used to wear,reclining on the familiar bed in her bedroom. She deliberately tousled her hair,putting on a lazy look.
The last image was a baby bottle. She strategically leaned it against the headboard and blurred the background.
She wrote two simple words. [Little Home.]
I stared at the post for five long minutes before slowly closing my phone.
There was no surge of anger or hate,only a sudden calmness. My heart was beating slowly and steadily.
The scenes that once tore me apart now felt light and airy.Everything seemed trivial in the face of death.
It was then that Nathan finally sensed something was wrong.In the past,he had found few times,but always got cut off at the last minute.

He started to suspect someone was intentionally blocking him from reaching me. That night,he sat alone in his study,staring at the pile of divorce papers. His fingers curled into a fist,his grip tightened and his face looked so dark.
It hit him that I was really serious about walking away. This was not a tantrum,a trick,but a determination to leave everything.
However, since I did not show up at the City Hall to sign,Nathan still clung to a shred of ridiculous hope that maybe I still wanted to reconcile.
In the evening,after a social event, Nathan stumbled home. A familiar aroma wafts from the
kitchen.
Alicia was turning around with a bowl of soup when Nathan suddenly hugged her.
Laurie….“he called in a low voice,with drunken dependence.
Alicia froze. Then,she smiled and replied gently,” President,you’re home.”
However,the second she spoke,Nathan froze as if he had been electrocuted. He stayed in place.
The scent was wrong. The touch was wrong. Even the hands were not as gentle and soft as before.
He slowly looked up.His gaze turned cold.“You’re not her.”
Alicia’s expression faltered. She tried to keep talking and smiling,but Nathan’s demeanor was as sober and cold as it had ever been.
“I’m not drinking the soup,” he said.“Don’t bother to cook it again. Tomorrow,you leave.”
“What?“Alicia almost thought she had misheard,” What did you say?”
Nathan looked at her nonchalantly,“Give the baby to the matriarch, Old Madam Campbell.Leave the villa tomorrow.”

This sentence was her usual trump card in the past. Every time she said this, Nathan would consider his grandmother’s feelings and take a step back.
However,this time,his eyes were cold as knives.“Then take the child and both of you leave together.”
He turned and walked upstairs without another word.
Nathan had figured out that what he wanted was not a“suitable“woman or a“stable“family.He wanted me…only me.
Alicia was in disbelief. She wanted to throw herself at Nathan and seduce him without caring about the consequences and tell him she loved him.
She could not do that,though, because she had always been the calm,capable secretary in front of Nathan. She had just accidentally had a baby and did not love him.
Alicia was not ready to give up.
She knew Nathan had been investigating where I had been lately. However,she did not tell him she had my contact information and had not been deleted.
She gritted her teeth and posted a photo because she wanted me to give up,never return to the Campbell’s house and disrupt her plan.
Alicia then changed her clothes,picked up her sleeping child and walked out of the villa with determination.
