“What exactly are you trying to say?!” Sonia glared at Ana through gritted teeth, looking like she wanted to tear her apart.

She suspected the photographer was playing favorites–maybe Ana had even bribed him.
But she had no way to prove it now!
Just wait, she thought. When Ana makes a fool of herself, I’ll laugh mercilessly.
“Go change clothes,” Aurora told Sonia.
Aurora shook her head, thinking back to when she’d thought Sonia looked decent and would be a good match for Cassian. She’d even tried to set them up at first.
But now it was clear that Sonia really wasn’t suitable.

“Don’t tell me you’re going to claim it’s photoshopped,” Theo said.

“Cougar,” he said coldly.
“You’re ridiculous. If you were a cow, would you choose tough, dry straw or tender, juicy grass? Don’t men always prefer eighteen year olds anyway?

“You’re so petty,” Aurora continued.
“I’m petty? If it weren’t for me, who would help you suppress these gossip stories? Does ‘cougar‘ sound good to you?” Theo snapped.
“I don’t need you playing hero in the future,” Aurora said through gritted teeth. “I can handle things myself!”
“Fine! I won’t get involved anymore! And if you’re going to prey on young men, at least find someone better–looking. You claim to have standards about appearance, but I guess that’s all talk.”
Aurora wanted to strangle Theo. “A good woman doesn’t fight with dogs!”
“Dogs? Who are you calling a dog?”
“Whoever responds is the dog!” Aurora shot back.
