Chapter97
Watching Lizzie throw the brick with that cold and decisive look.
Many people subconsciously touched the back of their necks and felt at chill running up.
That’s harsh.
That lame girl, she was definitely not a good person!
Everyone silently made a mental note, “Stay away from Lizzie in the future, don’t mess with her.”
The police arrived at the Trevino’s house and saw two men lying on the ground in front of the collapsed gate. One was screaming in pain while holding his leg, and the other was twitching with foam at the corner of his mouth.
In the middle of the courtyard stood a young girl leaning on a cane, looking calm and cold.
At one point, no one knew who the “bad guy” was in the security guard’s report.
“What’s going on?” the police said as they entered the courtyard.
One of the police officers squatted down to check the injuries of the two men on the ground,
Before the person could even speak, a sharp voice suddenly shouted from the crowd, “Police, it’s her! She’s the one who hit the person! We all saw it! These two men were beaten by her like this!”

As Vanessa spoke, the neighbors automatically looked back and unconsciously stepped aside, revealing Vanessa.
Lizzie saw Vanessa, so it wasn’t surprising that the two of them found their way here.
Lizzie knew that Katherine went to the rural areas of Zusate Village and Sorto Village, which were not close. It was about a hundred miles. away, which was considered far due to the inconvenient transportation, but not completely isolated..
Moreover, Theron was quite famous in that area, the youngest professor, the most promising young person. It was all gossip in the village.
They found out that Theron wasn’t married and Vanessa helped set them up, so it was easy for them to come over.
Vanessa came out and just blushed a bit, then she said, “She was so fierce when she hit someone, almost beat them to death! You guys need to catch this murderer!”
The police didn’t play favorites, they just looked at Lizzie.
Lizzie met the police officer’s questioning gaze and said, “Officer, I only fought back in self–defense.”
The police then turned to the neighbors around and asked, “Is that so?”
The neighbors who were watching saw the whole thing. It was definitely the fault of those two men from out of town. They smashed someone’s door for no reason and even wanted to fight.
Lizzie’s retaliation was a bit… harsh.

- up.
“It was… it was these two guys who kicked open the door of the Trevino’s house first.”
The police officer nodded knowingly and said to his colleague, “Let’s first arrest these two people…”
They looked pretty bad, maybe we should take them to the hospital first.
Vanessa immediately objected, “No way!”
She wasn’t really concerned about Brycen and Alvaro’s well–being, but she was thinking, “If Lizzie hurt someone like that, she needs to spend a few years in jail to pay for what she did last time she was tortured by the Bureau of Investigation!”
So she immediately shouted in a high voice, “Even if they were a bit aggressive, Lizzie shouldn’t have been so ruthless! And, after she knocked them down, they couldn’t hurt her anymore, but she deliberately picked up a brick and smashed the other person’s leg!”
Vanessa pointed at Lizzie from a distance, “This was intentional harm! It’s a crime!”
I was just watching the show, kind of leaning towards Lizzie’s neighbors, but then Vanessa’s words got to me, and suddenly the crowd was buzzing with gossip.
“Yeah, that guy was trying to get up at the time, but it seemed like he didn’t have much strength left…”
“Lizzie was ruthless, she just smashed him with a brick…”
“I heard the sound of bones breaking, this leg might be one for, huh? Oops, I was a bit heavy–handed this time.”

Listening to all the gossip, Lizzie didn’t show any sign of panic on her
face.
“Officer, at that time, even though he was temporarily on the ground, he could have gotten up and attacked me again at any moment. I could have escaped to a safe place, but as you saw, my mobility was limited due to my leg injury.”
Lizzie moved her crutch slightly.
“I had to make sure he couldn’t move anymore and pose a threat to me before I decided to break his legs. Of course…”
After speaking, Lizzie’s gaze slowly turned to those whispering and gossiping neighbors, their eyes filled with complexity.
