Chapter95
I wanted Lizzie to climb over the wall and hide at her house! But Lizzie hurt her leg, so there was no way she could climb over.
Larissa was so worried, she didn’t know what to do.
Lizzie quickly pulled out her small notebook and a short pencil from the pocket of her shirt.
“With a ‘rip‘ sound, she quickly tore off a piece of paper, wrote down a series of numbers, walked over, and handed the note to Larissa.”
At the same time, she made a gesture of making a phone call.
Larissa got what Lizzie meant, nodded heavily, quickly took the note Lizzie handed her, and shrank back against the wall.
Over the fence, Lizzie heard the faint sound of a bench being knocked over, followed by the sound of footsteps quickly moving away from the yard.
Lizzie’s heartstrings were still tight, she couldn’t put all her hopes on Larissa.
It’s not that Larissa is untrustworthy, it’s just that she ran to the phone booth at the end of the alley, queued up, dialed, waited for Redstar Factory to pick up, and then sent someone over…
This series of processes took time.
And the two men outside the door, obviously losing patience, wouldn’t give her any more time, the door could collapse at any moment.
Chapter95
“Bang!”
Another louder bang came, as if using all the strength.
The crack at the hinge where the courtyard gate meets the door frame suddenly widened, making a teeth–gritting “creak” sound.
The door was about to give way.
Broke in, probably just a matter of the next second.
Lizzie gripped the cane tightly, glanced around the yard, and then retreated back into the living room.
Another gravity kick, with a loud “bang“, the already dilapidated gate of the Trevino’s house couldn’t bear it anymore, and finally collapsed with a cloud of dust.
Lizzie stood at the doorway of the living room, leaning on a cane.
Her gaze pierced through the thick dust, locking eyes with the two fierce–looking men outside the door, showing no sign of fear or panic. Lizzie stood there without hiding or avoiding.
Dust slowly fell, revealing the figures of two men outside the door..
Leading the way was Alvaro, his face full of muscles, his eyes fierce. He stomped over the broken threshold, glanced around the yard, and finally fixed his gaze on Lizzie standing at the door of the hall.
He didn’t know Lizzie, but she was the only young girl in the room that he hadn’t seen before, so she must be Lizzie!
“Are you Lizzie?”
Alvaro’s voice was rough and full of malice.
Chapter95
“You little rascal, lied to me about marrying some professor and tricked my girlfriend back? Watch me today, I’ll make you pay!”
He strode over quickly, raised his big hand like a fan, and was about to slap Lizzie in the fi
Lizzie stood there, calm and collected, not a hint of panic.
Just as Alvaro’s hand was about to touch her, she moved.
The cane in her hand was quickly raised and accurately jabbed at Alvaro’s throat!
The action was clean and decisive, no hesitation, aimed right at his weakest spot!
“Um!”
Alvaro felt a sharp pain in his throat and suddenly couldn’t breathe.
He instinctively covered his neck, staggered back several steps, with a pained and incredulous expression on his face.
He didn’t expect that this seemingly weak girl with a limp would be so ruthless!
Just as Alvaro stepped back, Brycen had already rushed towards him.
He saw Alvaro get screwed over, Brycen’s eyes turned red in an instant, he roared and charged towards Lizzie like a raging bull.
His physique was even more robust than Alvaro’s, charging forward with a strong gust of wind.
Lizzie’s legs were not convenient, she would definitely be at a disadvantage in a head–on collision.
Chapter 95
Her eyes narrowed, and just as Brycen was about to pounce, she
leaned against the door frame, swiftly dodged to the back of the living room door panel.
Brycen missed.
He was all geared up to grab Lizzie, but then she suddenly disappeared. The huge inertia made it impossible for him to stop.
The body kept moving forward stiffly.
“Bang!”
A loud bang.
Brycen solidly crashed into that old wooden table in the living room.
The table was hit hard and shook violently, things on the table fell to the ground with a crash.
Brycen got hit and was seeing stars, holding his stomach, grimacing in pain.
Brycen shook his dizzy head and wobbled to his feet, leaning on the table:
He rubbed his sore forehead from the impact, looking at Lizzie standing at the door with a cane, her expression calm.
With a fierce look in his eyes, he shouted towards the courtyard.
