She looked at the scientist in front of her, who was completely immersed in his work, and felt a hint of curiosity.
Oswaldo, such a talented person, in the history of technology in the previous century, she had never even heard of his name.
Did something unexpected happen halfway?
This thought made her feel a little heavy–hearted.
She looked up, wanting to take another look at Oswaldo.
The scene in front of her started to sway, her head spinning, reminding her of her body’s limits.
Just then, as Oswaldo was crunching numbers, a stack of documents quickly fell on his head.
Oswaldo got hit on the head, didn’t hurt much, but it startled him.
“Whoa, who’s there!” He turned around, glanced at the person behind him, “Oh, it’s you! Don’t bother me, I’m just about to figure out something crucial.”
Terrence glanced at pale–faced Lizzie.
“Oswaldo, you could endure, but you ended up killing Vivian’s lifesaver.”
Oswaldo finally looked up at Lizzie, totally clueless.
Lizzie was already thin, and after getting injured, she didn’t rest much. Now, she looks pale as a sheet of paper, with her face the size of a

palm.
Oswaldo was taken aback, he instantly went from that research maniac to his usual clumsy self.
He hurriedly got up, “Bang,” his knee hit the hard table leg.
He grimaced, bent down to rub. His head “banged” against the low- hanging lampshade again, the light bulb swaying, casting flickering shadows.
He stumbled and turned around, trying to stand up, but ended up kicking the corner of the table with his right foot, which hurt so much that he gasped in pain.
He wanted to walk towards Lizzie, but he stepped on a pile of scattered documents. The papers slipped under his feet, causing him to lose his balance and almost fall.
A strong and steady arm reached out just in time, firmly catching his swaying body.
Terrence reached out and helped him stand steady.
Oswaldo’s face was burning, he awkwardly raised his hand and scratched his hair, “I, I just accidentally.”
Lizzie didn’t believe him at all.
Lizzie couldn’t help but laugh, but every time she laughed, she used up more oxygen and felt even dizzier.
She shook herself and propped her head up with her hand, so he wouldn’t fall down.
“You used to laugh at others, is he a fool, are you too?”

Lizzie looked up and saw Terrence’s cold expression.
She sensed keenly that Terrence seemed a bit angry, but didn’t know why.
Mingming, they only met once on the day she saved Vivian.
It looks like he was pretty close with Oswaldo, but not to the point of being angry at himself.
She felt a bit embarrassed being criticized like that.
“I also forgot the time.”
When Oswaldo heard Lizzie say that, his eyes lit up again.
He felt like he had found his tribe!
“How about we solve this issue first before…”
He was about to approach Lizzie when a stack of papers was slapped on his face.
Terrence’s cold voice rang out, “Zackery.”
Zackery heard a noise, carrying a groggy Vivian who had just woken up, and walked in. He saw Oswaldo gritting his teeth and rubbing his leg, so he knew what had happened.
I went up to check how badly he was hurt, made sure he was okay, and instinctively wanted to hand Vivian in my arms to him.
But with his arm halfway out, he glanced at Oswaldo, then looked over at Lizzie.
Zackery’s arm hesitated, then he silently pulled back his hand, turned in a different direction, and carefully placed the soft Vivian into

Lizzie’s arms.
“Could you give Ms. Trevino a hug for me, please?”
Oswaldo reached out to grab Vivian’s hand, but she was already being swept away from him.
He looked stunned, but he didn’t drop his daughter even though he was confused!
Sitting in Lizzie’s arms, Vivian blinked her big round eyes, looked at her frozen dad, then at Lizzie holding her, and suddenly let out a “giggle” of laughter.
Dad seems to have been snubbed by Zackery!
The heat on Oswaldo’s face quickly faded away, he didn’t seem to care much about losing face in front of his daughter.
He walked behind Lizzie’s wheelchair, holding onto the handles and pushing her.
“Let’s grab some food first. Is the cafeteria at Equinox Research Institute still open at this time?”
Zackery was here to take care of Oswaldo, he had already arranged everything in advance, “he had already informed them, and will be leaving food for the people from Equinox Research Institute these days.”
Oswaldo nodded, and the group left the meeting room.
Jarred stood at the door and walked to the cafeteria with them.
Lizzie glanced back at him a few times, and finally recognized him.
