Chapter41
Originally, she planned to wait until her leg got better and then bring Katherine back to change her miserable fate from her past life.
She was also afraid of “the night is long and dreams are many“, but she couldn’t settle Katherine. She brought the person back, couldn’t stay, who knows when Katherine goes back, will that person strike early for fear of Katherine returning to the city?
Raymond was actually thinking of “helping out” Lizzie a bit, trying to win her over. Now that she’s made a request, it’s not a big deal. Trading a regular worker’s spot for a favor from a tech expert is a good deal.
Besides, Katherine is part of the Trevino family, so of course Lizzie would go all out to help her.
So, Raymond didn’t hesitate anymore and agreed right away.
“Deal! It’s settled then! I’ll have, Emery get Katherine’s file for me later, and I’ll take care of it.”
Emery came to find Lizzie because they accidentally messed up the operation and the machine got stuck. They were outside the door and overheard their conversation.
After he finished listening to Raymond promise to let his daughter come back, his eyes instantly turned red.
He suddenly turned around and wiped the corner of his eye.
Originally, Lizzie had been planning this all along. She was so excited about it, thinking to herself, “I really spoiled my niece for good!”
14:30
Emery wiped away her tears, took a deep breath, and then knocked on Lizzie’s door.
Lizzie didn’t hesitate, she went straight to the workshop.
Emery took Lizzie home before going back to work at the factory.
Lizzie was at home, and she finally finished translating the article that had been delayed for three days.
After school, Colton slung his backpack over his shoulder and walked out with a spring in his step.
At that moment, Johanna pushed open the bookstore’s door.
She got suspended, the new job arranged by Theron hasn’t been confirmed yet, she’s almost run out of money, heard that the bookstore is hiring translators, so she decided to give it a try.
“Hello, I’m Johanna from Equinox Research Laboratory, and I want to do translation work.”
Fredrick looked up and heard the words “Equinox Research
Laboratory.” His eyes lit up because Lizzie also came from Equinox Research Laboratory. He became a bit more enthusiastic in his tone towards Johanna.
“Hey, people from Equinox Research Laboratory, please have a seat.”
He asked Johanna to sit down, and then explained the conditions for translation. Then he took out a piece of paper and handed it to Johanna, “Translate this article first, let me see your level.”
Johanna took the manuscript and quickly scanned the words on it, furrowing her brows/slightly.
It turned out to be Latin.

Chapter 1
She majored in French, and only started learning Latin after entering Equinox Research Laboratory because many of the documents there were in Latin.
When she saw this article, she suddenly felt a bit tricky.
However, she really needed the job now, so she sat down and put on a calm and composed attitude, “Okay, I can give it a try. Can I borrow a dictionary?”
Johanna thought her request was reasonable, but Fredrick just looked at her in surprise.
That look made Johanna feel a bit embarrassed for no reason.
Fredrick raised his chin and said, “You can take it yourself right next to you.”
Johanna pushed down her discomfort, grabbed a dictionary, and started translating.
Words popped out one by one from the tip of the pen, sentences stumbled along.
The speed was very slow, slower than the average person doing translations.
Fredrick sighed inwardly, not everyone is like Lizzie.
While Johanna was buried in her translation work, a clear young voice
could be heard outside the bookstore.
could be h
“Fredrick!”
Colton walked in and saw Fredrick standing at the counter. He greeted him politely. “Fredrick. I’m here to deliver the manuscript.”
Fredrick saw Colton, and a smile appeared on his face.
“Colton came, come on in and have a seat.”
Colton nodded and pulled out a brown paper bag from his backpack. handing it to Fredrick.
“The drafts are all here.”
Fredrick took the script and eagerly opened it, carefully flipping through the manuscript translated by Lizzie.
Colton stood up from the table and couldn’t help but ask.
“Fredrick, how’s the translation draft that Lizzie did? Is it good enough?”
Fredrick smiled and raised his head, gently patting Colton’s head with the script in his hand.
“You, kid, the review of the intermediate translator needs to be sent to the city. What I said doesn’t count.”
Colton rubbed his sore head and said, “Oh.”
“Colton, do you still need the papers? I have some here, perfect for Lizzie to take back.”
Colton nodded vigorously, “Yes.”
