Chapter 26 Hope They Tie the Knot
Lizzie curled her lips into a satisfied smile.
“Thank you, Mr. Hatfield.” With that, she steered the wheelchair toward the door.
Seeing this, Theron strode over and caught up with Lizzie.
“Lizzie, let’s talk.”
Lizzie didn’t even look back. They wouldn’t be able to talk because Johanna would definitely find a way to stop them!

Theron’s long legs helped. Soon, he caught up with Lizzie, who was in front of them.

Theron had Johanna in his arms and looked down at Lizzie. “Johanna’s belly is hurting. It’s serious. I need to take her to the hospital now. I will meet you at Emery’s place later.”
With that, he walked past Lizzie without looking back.
Johanna raised her head and looked over Theron’s shoulder at the abandoned Lizzie. The pain on her face was imme- diately replaced by a flicker of smugness.

However, Lizzie was steering her wheelchair calmly as if she hadn’t seen them.
Johanna bit her lip. A trace of hatred flashed across her eyes.
But when Theron felt worried and looked down at her, she had closed her eyes. The way she bit her lip made him think that she was enduring huge pain.
So, Theron walked faster.
Lizzie wasn’t impacted at all. She hoped they would tie the knot soon so that Theron could stop pestering her.
She left Equinox Research Laboratory in her wheelchair.
At the gate of Equinox Research Institute, she saw Colton and Glenna. When they saw her, they walked over right
away.
“Lizzie!” Colton trotted over and pushed Lizzie’s wheelchair out.
“Lizzie, how did it go?”
Lizzie smiled at them, “I can’t resume work for now, but Johanna is also suspended.”
Glenna slapped her thigh happily. “How dare she hurt you when we let her go! Now she brings trouble to herself! She’s losing her job!”

When they went back home, Glenna washed her hands and went into the kitchen in an apron. “Let’s celebrate today and chase away bad luck! Lizzie, what do you want to eat? I will cook for you!”
Lizzie felt warm in her heart.
