Chapter203
Lizzie still didn’t have an ounce of sympathy for her, maybe that’s just what Mattie deserved.
She indirectly caused Tabitha’s daughter to lose her hearing in the past, and now she’s experiencing it herself, isn’t that just karma.
A few people were arguing and pulling each other, Tabitha didn’t feel sorry for her either, she just stood by the wall, far away from them, and then went into the house.
As soon as Tabitha pushed open the front door, the sharp and noisy voices of the children inside hit her like a ton of bricks!
“You gave it back to me!”
“I’m not giving it, it’s mine!”
“Wow – you hit me!”
The boys‘ screams and roughhousing were non–stop, along with the sound of running footsteps that almost knocked the roof off.
Tabitha couldn’t hold back her embarrassment and awkwardly smiled at Lizzie.
“These few troublemakers, never stop causing trouble.”
She said, casually picking up the feather duster standing by the door, waved it around the room, then gave a heavy knock on the old table next to her.
“Everyone just calm down!”

The sound in the room suddenly stopped, and after a moment, three little heads pecked out from behind the inner room door.
The oldest one, around ten years old, was Tabitha’s eldest son Erick Huerta, who was sturdy and had a bit of his father’s seriousness.
The other two, who are twins, were eight years old this year. They were at that age where they hated cats and dogs. Right now, they were being controlled by Tabitha, but they were glaring at each other, refusing to back down.
“What did I tell you guys yesterday? We have guests coming over, so behave yourselves. Did it completely slip your minds?”
Tabitha scolded with a straight face.
“What’s going on, tell me!”
Erick was the first to speak, sounding calm, “Mom, Jacob and Brett were fighting over the broom, both wanted to sweep the floor, and then they started fighting. I stepped in to break it up, and accidentally got hit by Brett.”
He said, and then rubbed his stomach.
“Mom, I was the one who said I would sweep the floor first!”
“I was the one who said it first!”
Jacob Huerta and Brett Huerta immediately started shouting back defiantly, and then they were about to start fighting again.
Tabitha was so annoyed that she had a headache, she grabbed one with one hand, grabbed their arms, and forcibly separated the two of them.
“Ouch! Mom, it hurts!”

“Mom, I didn’t do anything wrong!”
The twins were grinning and yelling, but they still refused to admit
Obviously, even
their e, stubbornly sticking out their necks refused to admit
their mom’s scolding didn’t work.
Tabitha turned back to Lizzie with an even more embarrassed smile,
and whispered to Jacob and Brett, “If you keep being noisy, there won’t be any meat for you today!”
Jacob and Brett shut up, but still glared at each other, obviously neither of them backing down.
Lizzie watched the lively scene and didn’t find it noisy at all. Instead, she felt really familiar and fun.
She couldn’t help but chuckle.
Tabitha heard Lizzie’s laughter, and her embarrassment deepened.
“You made me laugh, Lizzie. These kids, they never let you relax.”
Lizzie shook her head, “Kids, making noise is totally normal.”
She was neighbors with Tabitha for ten years, often interacting with the children in Tabitha’s family. She knew where the root of Jacob and Brett’s quarrels lay.
The nature of these kids, although rowdy, was not bad at heart.
And, when it comes to raising kids scientifically, those who know, know. Raising twins, everything has to be exactly the same.
But now we have a shortage of supplies, so having one is already good enough. Even if we have the money for two toys that cost two dollars each, we have to buy different ones to switch and play with. This way, we can make better use of the money.

The two kids were originally trying to help, but there was only one broom, so they ended up fighting.
“Tabitha, it’s okay, just calm down first,” Lizzie gently persuaded, lightly holding down Tabitha’s hand holding the feather duster.
Immediately, she turned around and faced the three children, took out three candies from her bag, and handed them to the children.
“This is a reward for helping mom with the housework.”
Jacob had the sharpest eyes and the quickest reflexes.
Since it was a reward for them, he reached out his little hand and took the candy from her palm.
“Thank you.”
But he didn’t keep them all to himself, instead he handed one to Brett who was eagerly eyeing them, and put another one in his brother Erick’s hand.
With a mischievous smile, he quickly unwrapped the candy.
