Sophia watched as Larry was wheeled out, a faint, unreadable smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Yvonne suddenly looked up, her eyes sparkling with hope as she asked, “Really?”
Sophia smiled but didn’t answer directly, “Larry is out.”
Wonne let go of Sophia and hurried to the doctor, her voice trembling as she asked about Larry’s condition.
The doctor explained, “The patient had a previous head injury that caused a blood clot in his brain. This time, his head was injured again. His condition is uncertain, and he needs to stay in the hospital for observation.”
Yvonne froze, her face pale. “How could this happen?”
Sophia pulled her along. “Let’s go handle the payment.”
Although Mira’s injuries were minor, years of hard work and her advanced age had left her with numerous underlying health issues. She needed rest, but she refused to stay in the hospital, insisting that a bit of herbal oil would be enough.
Sophia stayed calm, but Yvonne was frantic, pacing back and forth. “If something happens to Larry, what will Mira do?”
Larry had been rescued by Mira from the riverside six months ago. At first glance, he didn’t seem injured, so Mira, unable to afford hospital treatment. took him home instead.
When he woke up, Larry had lost his memory. He had no belongings to prove his identity, didn’t know who he was, and had no idea where his family might be.
Feeling sorry for him, Mira decided to keep him. The name “Larry” had originally belonged to her grandson.
Over the past six months, Mira’s husband had passed away, leaving only her and Larry to rely on each other.
If anything were to happen to Larry, Mira didn’t know what to do.
Sophia glanced at Yvonne, who was pacing nervously, her forehead damp with sweat, and sighed helplessly.
“Don’t worry. He’ll be fine,” she reassured Yvonne.
Yvonne sniffled and nodded. “If you say he’ll be fine, then he will.”
Sophia didn’t respond. She sat down on a bench, closed her eyes, and crossed her arms.
‘Larry… Sophia thought, her lips curving into a faint smirk.
She thought, ‘Guess I just unintentionally took out another one of Yvette’s loyal followers.‘
In the original plot, Yvette had a whole lineup of admirers, but one stood out, the youngest of them all, Yandel Dalton, the sole heir to the Dalton family’s fortune in Harveston.
The original story didn’t bother with the details. It just said Yandel showed up in Jelasburg, got “saved” by Yvette, and then became her loyal follower
As for Fortune Town, once Yandel regained his memories and returned to the Dalton family, he partnered with the Hatfield family to continue its development. In less than two years, Fortune Town was completely transformed.
There was even a brief mention of Yandel and Yvette visiting Fortune Town to pay respects to someone. On second thought, it was probably Mira.

Sophia let out a cold laugh, full of mockery.
She thought, in the original story, it’s brushed off as a mere footnote. But in reality, it is the fries of thing’s entire family, five persplatits total. And the

Howard had been recuperating in a private hospital in the heart of Jelasburg for over two weeks. The cuts on his face had heated, but his arm and leg were still in casts. He sat on the hospital bed, his expression dark and brooding
“Mr. Chandler, would you like some water?” Xavier asked cautiously, keeping his distance as the oppressive tension in the roote made him undary.
Howard ignored Xavier, scrolling through his tablet with his uninjured right hand. Suddenly, his face twisted in fury, and his entire body seemed to radiate anger.
The tablet hit the floor, the screen shattering into jagged cracks. Xavier flinched, his voice trembling. “M–Mr. Chandler, I’m sorry.”
On the broken screen was Sophia’s face. A live–streamed video of her rescuing people in Fortune Town had gone viral, shooting her into the spotlight
“That bitch. She’s not getting away with this. I’ll make her pay,” Howard roared, his bloodshot eyes blazing with hatred. In a fitof uncontrollable rage, he swept the fruit and flowers off the bedside table, sending them crashing to the floor.
Xavier stood frozen, his face pale, not daring to make a sound.
Howard’s chest heaved as he glared at the tablet, his breathing heavy and erratic, His gaze remained locked on Sophia’s face, frozen in the video.
He thought, ‘Why is she still here? She pushed me down the stairs and tried to kill me. I’m stuck here, broken and forgotten, while she gets to play the hero. Why wasn’t she punished? Why wasn’t she kicked out of the Chandler family?
‘And now, she’s basking in the spotlight, her name everywhere. Why does she get to live so freely while I’m left to rot in this hospital?*
At that moment, Howard’s hatred extended beyond Sophia. He clenched his fists, blaming Jonathan and Heather as well. Their indulgence was why Sophia dared to treat him like this.
Xavier quietly tidied up, not daring to utter a single complaint.
“Howard, I brought your favorite soup,” Heather said as she pushed the door open, only to freeze in place under Howard’s piercing glare.
Howard looked away, his tone sharp and unyielding. “Leave.”
Heather hesitated, momentarily stunned.
Howard added coldly, “Come back after this place is cleaned up.”
Heather nodded stiffly and left the room without another word.
Howard watched as Xavier finished tidying up, even mopping the floor to his satisfaction. Then, he called out, “Xavier, come here.”
Xavier approached cautiously, his voice trembling slightly. “Yes, Mr. Chandler?”
Howard’s voice was low and chilling, each word dripping with malice. “Start recording as soon as she walks in. Don’t let her notice, or you’ll regre
He might be stuck in bed for now, but there was no way he’d let Sophia think she had the upper hand. Revenge was inevitable.
Xavier was a little bewildered. He knew it didn’t feel right, but he didn’t have the courage to say no.
Heather walked in again, carrying a thermos of soup. Seeing Howard’s expression calm and composed, she quietly let out a sigh of relief.

“Howard, the doctor said you’re ready to be discharged and can go home to rest, Heather said cautiously, stealing a glance at him as she spoke
This was something Jonathan had asked her to say. After all, the hospital was crowded with prying eyes, and Howard, being a celebrity,couldn’t stay there indefinitely.
“Where should I go?” Howard asked, his tone flat.
“Home, of course,” Heather replied. “There are more people at home, and we can all take care of you.”
Howard sneered, “More people at home? Mom, do you forget how I got hurt?”
Heather tried to brush it off. “Your dad already talked to her. She’ll be off to college in a couple of weeks, so things will calm down-”
Before she could finish, Howard’s voice suddenly rose, cutting her off. “Am I even your son to you?
“You just stood there and let Sophia shove me down the stairs, and all you did was give her a talking–to. What about me? Did any of you ever think that could’ve died?”
Xavier, who had been secretly recording the conversation, looked over in shock. His hands shook uncontrollably, the camera jerking as his nerves got the better of him.
Howard continued, his pale face gaunt, his eyes rimmed red with exhaustion and suppressed rage. In just over half a month, he had visibly lost weight.
Howard snapped, “To protect her, I even had to tell everyone it was an accident, that I fell down the stairs on my own. I’ve been in the hospital all this time. Has she come to see me even once?
“I’ve waited and waited, but she hasn’t visited or apologized. And now you want me to go back home? So she can push me down the stairs again?
“Do you even know how many nights I wake up screaming from nightmares about her pushing me down those stairs? I’m in so much pain right now.
“Is she really my sister? How could I have a sister like her? How can someone be so heartless?
“In the past, she was always picking fights with me, and I let it slide because she was my sister. But this time, I can’t take it anymore. I really can’t. I’m going to lose my mind.”
Howard’s voice cracked, and he broke down into uncontrollable sobs.
Heather quickly tried to console him. “Howard, don’t worry. I’ll talk to your father again when we get home. Please, don’t cry.”
Meanwhile, Xavier continued recording, his heart a chaotic mess of guilt and fear. The thought of this video getting out made his stomach churn. He couldn’t even begin to imagine the storm it would unleash on Sophia.
