This time, Sophia watched like a spectator as her miserable and absurd life unfolded before her. She found it ridiculous. She thought, ‘Since when did my fate become someone else’s plaything?‘
Unwilling to yield, she picked herself up and I went through the whole cycle again and again. She was determined to pull off those things that seemed impossible.
She didn’t even know where her stubborn grit came from. Even though she knew deep down she couldn’t change any of it, she just refused to give up. She fell repeatedly but got back up every single time.
No matter what hit her, she never once let her spirit crack. She always refused to give in, even when everything seemed stacked against her.
Just as the rage in her heart kept surging, a faint melody drifted in from afar.
She had no idea what instrument it was or what melody was being played. Instinctively alert, she scanned her surroundings, ready for what was coming.

The melody went on without pause. As she listened, the rage churning within her gradually subsided, and her taut body slowly began to relax.

“Mr. Hartwick, are you okay?” Colin said calmly upon seeing Edward spit out blood, immediately reaching for his walkie–talkie. “Call the doctor.”
Edward’s face was deathly pale, and his lips were stained with blood. He picked up a handkerchief to wipe his mouth and said weakly, “Don’t let anyone
else know.”
Colin replied respectfully, “Got it, Mr. Hartwick.”
Edward lay on the bed, his face deathly pale. Even his breathing grew so faint that it seemed he might die at any moment.
The doctor hadn’t arrived yet. He looked out the window, staring quietly for a moment. Then he whispered, “Have a sweet dream.”

When Sophia woke up, she couldn’t remember a thing about her dream. All she felt was a deep, refreshing calm spreading through her whole body.
Sophia got off her bed and immediately saw Vivienne glaring at her, her face still swollen and red. She sneered and said, “You know what? You look like a total clown.”
Vivienne jabbed a finger at her bruised face. “You hit me, and this is evidence.”

Hearing Sophia’s words, Vivienne suddenly remembered what happened yesterday. That mop was seriously disgusting.
The foul stench came rushing back to Vivienne’s mind, twisting her face into a mask of rage. She said through gritted teeth, “Sophia, you’ll regret this. I swear I’ll make you pay.”

Every time Vivienne said something, Sophia would wave her hand in disgust like she was shooing away a bad smell. By the cha; Viviann, da out that she almost threw up.
Sophia wrinkled her nose in disgust. “What on earth did you eat? Do you have some weird obsession with gross stuff or something?”
Vivienne was so angry that she wanted to scream.
Moving with lightning speed, Sophia grabbed a towel–she didn’t even care what it was for—and shoved it into Vivienne’s mouth. Then she turned and went to wash up.
Vivienne shot a fierce glare at Sophia’s back. There was no way she was gonna let this slide. After all, it was the first time in her life she had ever been
insulted like that.
With furious disgust, she yanked the towel from her mouth. However, the moment she saw it, she screamed.
Nadia looked at the towel and said slowly, “Well, that seems to be a rag.”
Sophia didn’t even turn around. She said, “If you behave yourself, I might just let you enjoy a few more peaceful days.”
However, Vivienne couldn’t care less about her words
Nadia froze at Sophia’s words. Although she was pretty much a nobody in the Moore family, she heard all the crazy rumors about Sophia in their circle.
It was said that anyone who crossed Sophia never ended up well. Some got caught up in scandals, others went broke, and a few even landed in jail.
While others painted Sophia as some kind of terrifying figure, Nadia found her oddly approachable, and she never felt afraid of her.
Nadia asked hesitantly, “Sophia, would you like to grab breakfast with me downstairs?”
Sophia answered while washing her face, “Sure.”
They went downstairs together. Just like the day before, everyone they passed along the way nervously looked away as if they were terrified of Sophia.
However, Sophia’s face was blank, radiating utter indifference.
Looking at Sophia walking ahead of her, Nadia felt a mix of nervousness and happiness.
They sat across from each other in the dining hall, and Nadia kept stealing glances at Sophia. Sensing her gaze, Sophia looked up and locked eyes with
her.
Nadia froze, suddenly feeling strangely guilty.
Sophia asked, “Nadia, what’s your major?”
Nadia said nervously, “Mathematics.”
Math was the only thing she was interested in, so that was what she chose as her major.
Sophia gave a slight nod and said nothing more.
As people trickled in for breakfast, everyone cast uneasy glances at Sophia as if she were some kind of dangerous mystery they dared not approach.
Sophia slammed her fork down on the table with an impatient thud. Nadia jumped in surprise, looking up blankly.
The people around them flinched in shock, quickly looking away and deliberately putting more distance between themselves and her.
Sophia was glad that she finally got some space.

“Could what Vivienne said be true? I live right in Room 602. I heard everything, and the screaming was miserable.”
“Look at those clear handprints on both sides of Vivienne’s face. I believed Sophia really did slap her.”
“I knew Sophia had a weird temper, but this is too ridiculous. Is she having a breakdown?”
“Hey, should we tell Ms. Webb about this?”
“Looks like Vivienne didn’t.”
Sophia kept eating, unfazed by the whispers around her. Nadia looked a little worried. She opened her mouth a few times as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, no words came out.
Sophia glanced up at her. “What are you looking at?”
Nadia lowered her head and started eating.
When Sophia heard them saying she was crazy, she raised an eyebrow. With a smirk, she got up and strode straight to the first girl who started the rumor and tapped her fingers lightly on the table.
Everyone in the dining hall turned to look. Sophia fixed her gaze on Zoe Scott and flashed a chilling grin. “I’m crazy, huh? Then are you afraid of me?”
