Sophia wasn’t the only one who knew about this café. Heather and Jonathan did too.
Sophia rolled her eyes at Wilbur in her mind again. “Didn’t I just tip you off?”
Sophia said, “Look what you’ve done, Jonathan. You’ve already wronged poor Wilbur enough, and if the café gets trashed because of you, heʻif probably hate you for life.
“Besides, since you already promised Heather, you can’t just go back on your word. Look at the mess you’ve made. How you’re in a bind, and honestly, you’re completely useless at handling things.”
Jonathan rubbed his temples wearily and said, sounding defeated, “I’ll talk to Heather about this.”
Sophia snorted disdainfully, “I’m afraid it’s too late.”
Jonathan’s heart skipped a beat. “What do you mean?”
“Jonathan,” Sophia said into the phone, “I’ll clean up this mess for you, but don’t you dare forget my cut.” With that, she hung up abruptly.
“What the hell is this coffee? I said I wanted it sweet, but it’s bitter as hell! And this cake! Taste it yourself. It’s disgusting!” one of them growled. The four men looked downright thuggish, clearly up to no good.
The staff member trembled in fear, stammering, “S–sorry. I’m so sorry.”
Luna served the coffee to Sophia, then approached the guests and said, “I sincerely apologize. If the coffee is too strong or the cake isn’t to your liking, we’d be happy to replace it. It’s on the house.”
“Think replacing it makes everything fine? Like nothing ever happened?” one of the thugs sneered, then abruptly hurled his coffee right into Luna’s face.
“Luna!” Wilbur had just walked in when he saw that. He charged forward, immediately shielding her behind him. His expression was tight with barely contained rage, and his eyes blazed behind his glasses as he stared daggers at them. “What the hell do you want?”
One of the thugs smirked at Wilbur and sneered, “You know exactly what we want, Wilbur. Don’t make us do this the hard way.”
The thug stepped right up to him, slapped his cheek lightly in disdain, and sneered, “Some things aren’t for people like you to even dream of. Try to overreach yourself, and you won’t be able to handle what’s coming!”
Wilbur burned with humiliation, his entire body tensed, fists clenched so tightly at his sides that his knuckles turned white.
“Wilbur, don’t…” Luna whispered urgently, seeing his reaction.
Before Luna could finish, Sophia cut her off, shouting, “Wilbur, what are you waiting for? Take them down!”
Luna was speechless.
The four thugs whipped their heads around, eager to see who had made a sound.
Sophia held her cake, taking a bite as she egged Wilbur on. “Wilbur, they’re spitting in your face and you’re just standing there? Man up already!
“I’ve already cleared it with Jonathan–he’ll handle the fallout. Come on, come on! Just go take them down already!”
Wilbur hadn’t even moved when the four thugs/sprang into action. One of them snarled at Sophia, “You meddling little bitch! Courting death?”
Hearing this, Sophia immediately perked up tipped her chin up in defiance, and taunted, “Yeah! How’d you figure that out?”
The four thugs fell silent. One of them barked. “Get them!” With that, all four sprang into action.

Chapter 123
Seeing that her attempts to mediate were hittle, Luna wisely retreated to a safe distance,
Wilbur lunged forward, delivering a powerful kick to one thug, and then followed up with a crushing punch straight to the face

“Watch your back! And the front! Wilbur, quick–kick him! Harder! Put some muscle into it! fit him!”
Sophia stood off to the side, clapping excitedly as Wilbur took on four opponents single–handedly, in the chaotic scuffle, his glasses were knocked of and he took several solid punches to the face and body.
Wilbur grew up without a father. His mom worked herself to the bone just to keep them afloat. Bullied since he was a kid, fighting became second nature
to him.
When Wilbur was twelve, his mother passed away from a serious illness. He almost became a juvenile delinquent until Luna and her grandmother intervened and pulled him back from the brink.
With his glasses gone, Wilbur fought with escalating ferocity. His gaze turned razor–sharp, like a blade unsheathed. Each punch landed with a bone crunching force that made even the bystanders wince.
Sophia abandoned her cake, clapping excitedly from the sidelines like a spectator at a boxing match. “Nice hit!” she cheered.
One of the battered thugs eyed Sophia, snatched up a chair, and hurled it right at her
“Watch out!” Luna instinctively cried out.
Sophia’s playful grin vanished, her clear eyes instantly frosted over with a chilling cold. Before the thug could reach her, she lashed out with a side kick, sending him flying a good six feet away.
Luna’s eyes widened in shock.
Sophia scoffed, “I’m just a bystander. Instead of focusing on your own fight, you’re coming after someone just watching? Think I’m an easy pushover?” She hated nothing more than being seen as weak.
The thug lay on the ground, clutching his chest and howling in pain. While everyone was distracted, he stealthily pulled a switchblade from behind his
back.
Sophia raised an eyebrow. “Well, well, bringing out weapons now?” She whipped out an extendable baton from her bag with a practiced flick, then shot a glance at Luna. “Hey, this is self–defense. You’ve got to be withess.”

Luna nodded dazedly.
Sophia’s lips curled into a sly grin, her eyes alight with barely contained excitement.
The thug with the switchblade froze, an inexplicable chill running down his spine. He took two involuntary steps backward.
Sophia had already drawn her extendable baton. There was no way she’d let him retreat now. In one swift motion, she snatched up a coffee cup and hurled it straight at the thug’s head.
The thug took a direct hit to the head and was dazed for a moment. He snarled, “Fuck! You’re dead, bitch!” Brandishing his knife, he charged straight at Sophia.
Before he could even get close to Sophia, she was already whaling on him with her extendable baton, beating him like a stray dog and sending him scrambling to dodge her blows. The thug howled in pain, “Stop! Please, stop!”
When Jonathan arrived and took in the chaotic scene before him, he stood frozen in place, his eyes twitching uncontrollably.
One of the thugs–a towering guy well over six feet tall–was scrambling around like a terrified rat and bawling like a baby under Sophia’s relentless assault, tears and snot streaming down his face as he begged for mercy.

Chapter 123
In Sophia’s hands, the extendable baton was like it had a mind of its own. No matter where the hulking thug dodged, it always found its mark with precision.
“Ma’am, please, no more!! really can’t take it!” the thug sobbed uncontrollably, the pain unbearable,
Sophia was reveling in the beating. “Bow to your queen!” she taunted.
“My Queen, please! I was wrong, I swear! No more–I’m begging you.”
Jonathan took a deep breath and barked, “That’s enough!”
Wilbur stopped immediately, but Sophia–ever the rebel–landed two more solid hits even after Jonathan shouted for her to stop.
“Jonathan! Jonathan!” Sophia’s eyes sparkled as she rushed over, her lips puckering into a pout as she pointed accusingly at the four thugs. “Finally, you’re here!” she cried. “They were bullying me and even tried to hit me. Look, he’s holding a knife! If you’d come any later, you might never have seen your precious little girl again.” She sniffled dramatically, wiping away imaginary tears.
