Drew recovered in record time and rushed over to see me, but it didn’t take long before he heard I.was getting married.
The smile disappeared from his face, and an overwhelming sadness swallowed him whole.
“N–No way! Sienna, I love you. Can’t you give me just one more chance?”
I shook my head and told him once again, “I’ve already found my fated mate. We’re having our marking ceremony in a few days.”
Drew staggered back a few steps, barely steadying himself.
He didn’t come any closer. He quietly turned and walked away. His frail silhouette faded into
the bleak autumn.
Word spread quickly that an Alpha from the Silvermist Pack was holding a grand marking ceremony.
Only then did people realize that I had become a Luna.
Relatives and family friends all came forward to congratulate my family, praising them for raising such an outstanding daughter.
But I had already moved out of the villa, far away from their lives. They could no longer reach
- me.
My parents regretted everything. On the day of the ceremony, they showed up at the entrance to the banquet hall, but I didn’t acknowledge them.
With their status, they didn’t even qualify to attend the ceremony.
After the marking ceremony, Peter never tried to hold me down in the Silvermist Pack. I was free to live the life I wanted.
Peter’s parents were wonderful to me. They treated me even better than their own daughter.
I was finally surrounded by people who loved me and someone I truly loved.
After the marking ceremony, I never heard from Drew again.
This held true for the rest of my life.
