Chapter 70
“Lizzie, you came back carly, I’m going to the bookstore later, give me a call.”
Lizzie thought for a moment and said, “Okay.”
She nodded and followed the soldier to the Jeep.
Because she couldn’t move easily, one soldier went to open the door while the other helped Lizzie into the car. The wheelchair was also lifted into the trunk and carefully placed inside.
Colton stood there, watching the Jeep disappear around the corner, before quickly running out of Equinox Research Institute to Fredrick’s bookstore.
Lizzie sat in the moving car, resting her eyes.
A few minutes later, the car slowly came to a stop.
She was helped off the car, and the wheelchair was taken down too.
They didn’t leave Equinox Research Institute. They know this place well. This is the headquarters office building, where all the important meetings of Equinox Research Institute are held.
Her level wasn’t high enough, she only looked from afar, but never came in.
She was pushed in, and as soon as she entered the gate, there cam burst of children’s laughter from the nearby corridor.
That laughter was full of innocence and joy, the voice was very

familiar.
Lizzie looked around.
Just saw a little figure in a red plaid skirt, like a happy little butterfly. running past from the end of the corridor.
Lizzie slightly widened her eyes, looking at the familiar figure, thinking she must be seeing things.
Then, that little figure ran back with a pitter–patter.
The little girl spotted Lizzie at a glance, her big round eyes lit up immediately.
“Lizzie!”
A surprised call.
The next second, Vivian was like a launched missile, running with her short legs as fast as she could towards Lizzie.
Her small body with a burst of energy, first paused for a moment, then pounced forward and tightly hugged her legs.
She still remembers that Lizzie had a wound on her leg.
Vivian looked up at Lizzie with her rosy cheeks and big shiny eyes, full of trust and joy.
Oswaldo chased out from inside and saw Lizzie at a glance.
He was slightly surprised.
How did she end up here?
This place isn’t for just anyone to come in.

His gaze went past Lizzie and landed on the two serious–looking researchers behind her, his surprise deepening.
Was it her who submitted that amazing semiconductor optimization report?
This idea shook him to the core.
Lizzie was also surprised.
In order to catch their attention, she submitted a research report that was way ahead of its time. She knew they would definitely assign a researcher to handle this report.
But she didn’t expect that, what a coincidence, this researcher turned out to be Oswaldo.
This world is just too small.
“Hello, Ms. Trevino,” Oswaldo reached out his hand to Lizzie
At that moment, Oswaldo immediately got into the zone, and his whole demeanor changed in an instant.
Before, I used to follow Vivian around, looking a bit clumsy and awkward, but now I’ve completely disappeared.
In its place was a kind of almost obsessive focus. His eyes were shining brightly, looking at Lizzie as if he had seen some rare treasure.
That was the look of a researcher who had just made a major breakthrough, a pure research maniac.
“Your report! I read it, it’s written so well! There are many arts I want to discuss with you right away!”
His voice was filled with uncontrollable excitement, he handed Vivian

to Zackery next to him, and directly took Lizzie to the meeting room
Lizzie raised her hand and gently stopped his eager move.
“I need to call home first. My family doesn’t know why I’m here, they must be worried. I have to let them know I’m safe. Can I borrow your phone?”
The soldier next to him had a disapproving look on his face, obviously thinking it was not proper.
Once we got here, everything was top secret. You couldn’t just make phone calls out.
But before they could stop him, Oswaldo immediately nodded, waved his hand at the soldiers, with a tone that brooked no argument.
“It’s okay, let her hit, I trust her.”
His trust in Lizzie wasn’t just because she saved Vivian’s life, but also because of the talent shown in that report.
He thought for a moment, then pointed to an office next to him.
“There’s a phone inside, I’ll take you there.”
With that, he pushed Lizzie and headed towards the office.
His steps were fast, afraid of wasting any time.
Oswaldo pushed Lizzie into an office.
Lizzie picked up the receiver of the black vintage phone on the table, while Oswaldo placed his hand on the keypad with a sous expression, “The number.”
