Chapter 53
Once on the main road, there were more people.
The more people, the safer it is, it means the child in your arms is saved!
She couldn’t move easily while holding the child, so she tightly held the sleeping child in her arms with one hand, while using a cane in the other hand, pushing back with the end against the rough ground.
The wheelchair started to roll backwards, and the wheels of the wheelchair ran over the hand of the person who was knocked down by the wheelchair.
When that person screamed, the wheelchair had already slid out.
Those two men, seeing her trying to run, immediately looked fierce, struggled to stand up, and chased after her.
Lizzie had to push harder on her crutches to move the wheelchair down the ramp.
Those two people were getting closer and closer.
Lizzie couldn’t see the road behind her, so she just had to rely on her instincts and vague memories of the area to feel the subtle changes in the ground slope.
We’re getting closer, the slope is right behind us!
She could feel her body leaning back.
It’s now!
Lizzie gritted her teeth, mustered up the last of her strength, and pushed the cane fiercely backwards!
The cane slipped out of my hand, and the wheelchair suddenly jerked backwards.
Just as it was getting dicey, the wheelchair slipped away before those two could lay a hand on it!
That was close!
However, the danger was not over yet.
There was a howling wind in my ears.
She immediately hugged with both hands, holding the tiny body even tighter in her arms.
The feeling of weightlessness hit me, and the wheelchair shot down the slope, picking up speed instantly.
The wheels of the wheelchair bumped on the uneven ramp, making a creaking sound.
Suddenly, there was a loud honking sound coming from the side.
A sharp sound ripped through the air, hitting Lizzie’s eardrums directly.
Her heart suddenly skipped a beat.
The shadow of the last car accident hasn’t faded yet, the old wound is still aching, do I have to go through another impact again?
The thought just flashed through her mind, and she instinctively tightened her arms, holding the child in her arms even tighter, using her own body to protect the little one.
At the same time, she tried to curl up her body and squeeze herself into the small space of the wheelchair as much as possible. Trying to use. the frame of the wheelchair to provide her with a little protection.
The moment she felt the car hit her, she couldn’t help but open her
eyes.
The car was coming straight towards her, getting closer and closer.
Just as the collision was about to happen, the front of the car suddenly jerked, and the tires made a sharp screeching sound.
The car barely grazed the wheelchair, crashed into the nearby utility pole, and made a loud “bang” sound.
Lizzie’s nerves were still on edge when the out–of–control wheelchair, aided by the slope’s momentum, slid heavily to the bottom.
“Bang!”
The wheelchair crashed into the pile of miscellaneous items behind it, making a loud noise.
The wheelchair finally stopped.
But the huge impact made Lizzie black out.
At the top of the slope, those two men chased after.
They saw this sudden scene and hesitated for a moment.
At one point, they seemed unsure whether to run first or to charge up and continue grabbing her.
In their brief moment of hesitation, two people got off the car.
The driver, a young guy, took a quick glance at Lizzie, then turned

back to look at the dented bumper and smashed front of the car, feeling so sorry for it.
“Oh my god! I can’t believe it! Why is it always her fault when there’s a car accident! This is a new car! I’ve only had it for a week! Now it needs to be sent for repairs again!”
Lizzie heard his voice and slowly opened her eyes.
The scenery in front of her was blocked by that tall figure.
Terrence was dressed sharply in his uniform, standing tall and exuding a sense of intimidation without even saying a word.
His sharp gaze swept over Lizzie, then turned back to the two men who looked panicked and were trying to escape.
Lizzie slowly came to, ignoring the intense pain in her leg and her current disheveled state.
I pointed behind Terrence and said. “Grab those two guys, they are human traffickers!”
Looked at the two men who were quietly sneaking away.
Those two men heard Lizzie’s accusation and
w Terrence’s
intimidating demeanor, their faces turned pale in an instant, and they
ran away even faster.
“I still want to run!”
