“Your mum and I have agreed that it would be much more convenient if you went to school in England. Ms. Drew’s moving back there, I’m always there In work and you can spend time with your cousin, Elizabeth. However, the choice… remains yours.”

He smiled at her, but Kamilla wasn’t fooled. She saw the glint in his eye. He was the Vampire King. He wasn’t about to listen to his mate choose to he thousands of miles away from him. Hah. He would drag her ass to Onyx with him for sure, if she chose to stay.
And what a bloody bummer that she didn’t really want to stay in the US either. It would have been so much more exciting if Kamilla was determined to study here! Viktor would have lost his mind! Just the thought was enough to bring laughter to her mouth.
Rolling her eyes, Kamilla crossed her arms and gave Viktor a side eye. “I’ll think about it.”
Viktor’s mouth curved as he read her like a book. “Alright then.” Quietly pushing back his chair, he stood. “I’m afraid I have to be on my way now, Ms. Drew.”
Kamilla’s mom blinked and pointed back at the oven. “Oh, no, you can’t leave. Supper’s almost ready!”
Kamilla puckered her lips. “He barely eats anything other than guts and blood, ma.”
Viktor gave her a look. “What’s wrong with you? She’s lying, Ms. Drew, I do eat food.”
Adelaide looked dejected, tugging at her apron. “Well, stay for dinner then. It’s not every day I get to talk to someone who knows exactly what a handful my daughter is.”
Kamilla eyed Viktor with a smirk. Oh, how he hated being overfed! That was the reason why Demetrius loved Kamilla so much. Little did Viktor know that her mom was even worse than Demetrius when it came to feeding people.
“Oh, come on, Viktor!” said Kamilla, poking him in the ribs. “Eat something before you leave.”
Viktor looked down at her adorably grinning face, her cheeks turning pink from the warmth of the kitchen. Damn her and her unfair tactics.
“Well…”
“Lovely!” said Kamilla. “Mum, he’ll stay.”
Delighted, Adelaide went to the far end of the kitchen, checking on her food.
Viktor narrowed his eyes on Kamilla and her satisfied grin. “Do you know that it’s difficult to teleport when I’m stuffed like a fucking turkey?”
With a laugh, Kamilla swatted his butt. “Then spend the night.”
Shocked, Viktor put a hand on his butt and looked at her with wide blue eyes. “Did you just…?” He raised a warning finger. “Look here, little one. This is the butt of the King of Onyx-”

Viktor jerked forward when her hand landed across his ass again. “That thick ass is mine,” Kamilla informed him with a smile and an evil glint in her eyes.
Giving her a dirty look, Viktor pushed her away with a single finger. “Get away from me. Creep.”
Watching her laugh, Viktor reached for his phone that was vibrating in his back pocket.

Pushing her away with a linger on the forehead, Viktor brought the phone to his ear. “Yes.”
Viktor, said Damon. The tension in his voice immediately.

Kamilla blinked in puzzlement as Viktor held her chin and pressed a kiss
