If it were anyone else, hearing such an arrogant claim from a powerless woman would have earned nothing more than a sneer,
But Leon was different–he never looked down upon women.
When he was in the Northern Borderlands, he commanded many female soldiers. Several of them proved exceptionally skilled with outstanding battle records, even rising to the rank of general.
Leon looked at Yuna calmly and said, “You have until I finish this cup of coffee.”
Yuna’s eyes lit up as she quickly added, “Your Highness, you may not yet be aware, but before my father, Pat Mcbride, passed away, he had already unified the entire Sandspire. From the Hadara Plains to the Uhazra Desert–every stretch of it was under his command.”
Leon remained silent, his gaze averted as if he were simply savoring his coffee, giving nothing away.
Yuna knew right away that Leon was already fully aware of this.
Yuna added, “But Your Highness might not be aware of the current situation in the Uhazra Desert.”
“Are you suggesting you can locate the rebels there?” Leon raised an eyebrow, genuinely surprised by this unexpected claim.
Yuna shook her head and said, “Your Highness, why do you assume they are all rebels? The term ‘rebel‘ is merely how the King of Novigrad sees them. It’s because the King cannot tolerate them that they’ve been branded as such.”
“Hey, be careful with your words!” Magnus, standing beside Leon, frowned sharply.
Speaking ill of the King here would only bring trouble upon the Leon House.
But Leon waved his hand dismissively, showing no intention of stopping Yuna.
With an unreadable expression, he said, “I find your perspective intriguing. Continue.”
Yuna understood then that the man she admired was no ordinary man; his intellect and awareness far exceeded that of the common folk.
She smiled softly. “As the King of Northern Borderlands, you should know that the people of the Northern Borderlands were once also on the list of rebels, Your Highness. But in truth, they are all just ordinary folk, longing only for a peaceful life.”
These words made Leon’s eyes brighten once again.
Leon made a gesture, and Magnus personally came forward to pour coffee for Yuna.
Yuna continued, “Your Highness, if the court were to intervene with a more diplomatic approach–one that seeks to reconcile and win over the remaining six tribes of the Uhazra Desert–then Novigrad would undoubtedly rise as the dominant power across the entire continent.”
With the Northern Borderlands and Southernville already reclaimed, Novigrad had become a formidable force.
If Novigrad could bring the nomadic tribes of the Hadara Plains and the Uhazra Desert under control, and further subdue the historically ung…nable Montvale and Montville regions, then it would stand unchallenged as the dominant force on the entire continent.
“Beyond the Hadara Plains lie Mount Kelmor, and on the other side is Montvale. Once the Uhazra Desert is subdued, reclaiming Montvale will be within our grasp. When that day comes, Your Highness shall be hailed as the God of War of Novigrad–a name destined to echo through the annals of history.”
Leon remained silent, his gaze lowered, revealing nothing of his thoughts.
Yuna thought Leon would like the idea, but when he stayed silent, there was a kind of deep, intimidating presence about him that made Yuna too nervous to speak casually.

“Your Highness, I hold the Command Token that gives me authority over the six tribes of the Uhazra Desert. As long as you’re willing to work with me 1 will do everything in my power to help you bring them under your rule–then march with you across Mount Kelmor and take Montvale in one decisive strike,” she said earnestly.
