James took Pamela for a ride on the Ferris wheel.
As their cabin reached the top, a “bang” echoed, and brilliant fireworks lit up the sky.
At that very moment, a video was sent to Katie’s WhatsApp group chat showing James saying, “I, James, will always love Pamela.”
When James and Pamela got off the Ferris wheel, they spotted Katie from afar.
James immediately released Pamela’s hand and approached Katie, ready to explain himself.

Pamela also stepped forward and spoke first, “Katie, I’m sorry you had to see this. I suggested we shouldn’t meet to- day, but James insisted on meeting me.”
She added, “But being with someone you love brings true happiness. Katie, do you have someone you care about?”
Katie glanced at James before answering, “No.”
James suddenly felt a wave of panic and told Pamela, “We’re getting married tomorrow, so we shouldn’t see each oth- er for the next few hours. Let me take you back.”
“All right.”
After dropping Pamela off at the hotel, James shared a car ride with Katie.
He glanced at her and couldn’t resist asking, “Why did you say you don’t have anyone you like earlier?”
Katie responded calmly, “It was just a casual remark. It’s not important.”
“Not important…” Assuming Katie was upset, James lowered his pride for the first time.
“You’ve had a tough time these past few days. Even as my girlfriend, you’ve had to constantly compromise.
“Once things with Pamela are settled, I’ll devote myself to you completely.”
Katie glanced down and said, “Let’s talk about this next time.”
When James got back to the hotel, he tried to follow Katie into her room.
But she stopped him. “We’re both really tired today. Let’s just rest. Remember, you have to be the groom tomorrow.”
And tomorrow, she would also be a bride.
Feeling reassured that she still cared about him.
James said, “All right. If you don’t want to go tomorrow, just stay here and rest. I’ll come find you once it’s done.”

“Okay.”
With that, Katie closed the door.
She began by packing everything she had bought in Spain.
Then she sat at the table, picked up a pen, and wrote in Spanish on a blank sheet of paper.

“James, I’ve come to understand that honesty doesn’t always mean feelings are returned. It’s better to walk in the rain than cling to a broken umbrella. I once thought I was loved. Consider these past three years my gift to you. I’m letting you go.”
Katie set the pen aside and proceeded to print out the romantic photos Pamela had sent, along with the chat screen- shots and the four–page confession letter.
She stacked the thick pile of papers neatly on the table.
She discarded the only gift James had ever given her into the trash, then grabbed her luggage and left the Hilton Hotel without a second thought.
She traveled straight to her sister’s Eden Villa in Barcelona.
The following morning, at 7 a.m., the makeup team showed up punctually to give Katie an exquisite bridal makeover.
The maid assisted her in donning a Valentino haute couture wedding gown.
At 9 a.m., the butler informed Katie, “Ms. Jensen, the wedding car to escort the bride is here.”

At the Hilton Hotel, by 8:30 a.m., James had changed into his suit and was repeatedly trying to reach Katie, but she never picked up.
His best man suggested, “James, it’s nearly nine. If you can’t reach her, let it go. No woman would be kind enough to watch her boyfriend marry someone else. Let’s go pick up the bride instead.”
James felt a twinge of unease. “All right, let’s go get the bride.”
He headed downstairs and climbed into the lead wedding car. The procession moved out to fetch Pamela.
As they traveled along Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona, the medieval architecture lining the street was stunningly beautiful.
However, James was preoccupied, frequently glancing at his phone. Katie still hadn’t returned his calls.
He opened their WhatsApp conversation and typed.
“Katie, after today’s wedding, no matter if Pamela has really regained her memory, I’ll clarify everything with her. Then I’ll focus on being with you.”
He kept sending messages to Katie, but they all went unanswered.

Suddenly, the car began to slow down.

The driver said, “Mr. Jimmerson, there’s road control ahead… I wonder what’s happening. Wow, another procession of luxury cars is escorting a bride. What a unique day today! Wait! License plate A9999–how did a car with a New York plate end up in Spain?”
Upon hearing this, James quickly rolled down the window and looked out.
As the two cars passed each other, he saw clearly that in the wedding car opposite, wearing a snow–white wedding dress–was Katie!
