In that instant, Caleb’s heart ached so much he couldn’t breathe. Lily had truly, mercilessly, abandoned him.
At this point, Caleb no longer felt any resentment towards Lily. Only panic and regret remained. *She married someone else… Would she still forgive him? Was there still a chance she would come back?*

He had been foolishly arrogant, convinced that Lily would never leave him. It was supposed to be such a sacred thing, yet he had married a woman he barely cared about. He hadn’t imagined how devastated she would be when she discovered the truth… He had personally pushed Lily into another man’s arms.
In that moment, Caleb, who had always been calm and composed, clutched his phone, sobbing uncontrollably.
Another message from his assistant popped up. “There’s something else I think you should know… When I went to pay the bill, I saw Seraphina’s examination report. She’s perfectly healthy…”
When Caleb stormed in, Seraphina was casually strolling around the hospital room. Caught off guard by Caleb, she showed no panic, letting out an “ouch” and collapsing towards him.
“Caleb, I wanted to try walking on my own, but it’s so painful-” As she whined, she couldn’t hide the triumphant gleam in her eyes. *See? She knew Caleb would calm down and still care most about her.*
But Seraphina was met with Caleb’s full–force slap. Seraphina spun around a few times, stunned, but still wouldn’t give up her act. “…Did Lily say bad things about me? Caleb, please don’t believe her, those are all lies!”
Caleb sneered. “Lies? Then tell me, is this report also fake?” He couldn’t control his fury and hauled Seraphina up from the floor. “I asked the doctor. You’re perfectly healthy! Why did you lie about being seriously ill?! And saying your last wish was to marry me?! If it weren’t for you! How could Lily have left me?!”
By the end, Caleb was practically screaming. He gripped her harder and harder, and Seraphina’s eyes rolled back. She’d never seen Caleb like this and couldn’t stop trembling,
“Caleb… let go… I know I was wrong, but it was because I loved you so much! Oh, right… I’m still carrying your baby, please let me go, Lily’s baby is gone, but I can give you one!”
Caleb did release her. Seraphina sprawled on the floor, gasping for breath. She didn’t realize that those words had touched Caleb’s raw nerve,
Caleb’s expression became chillingly indifferent. “I almost forgot, you’re pregnant” He clapped his hands, and two men emerged from behind the door. “Take her for an abortion
and a D&C. Make sure no anesthesia.”
Seraphina’s eyes widened in horror, “Caleb! Are you insane?! How can you be so cruel to me?!” She struggled futilely but was no match for the two burly men,
Caleb stood in the shadows, hearing her wails, and scoffed. “This is just the beginning. The pain Lily suffered, I’ll make you repay it a thousand times over,”
“You treated Lily like a maid and publicly humiliated her. Now, I’ve had your private photos
circulated on the dark web,”
“I’m sure your creditors abroad will be thrilled to know you’re still alive.”
Ignoring Seraphina’s screams, Caleb turned and left without looking back.
