Chapter 159
“Not stalking. Ensuring your safety, my Queen,” said Ethan with a calm smile.
Also, Damon told me to say that!” added Syre. “He said you’d be uncomfortable if you found out we were watching pot.
Kamilla tried to stay mad, but it didn’t work. He was too precious as he looked at her with checks bulging with yummy sandwiches and red eyes ittening with humor
“Fine,” she muttered eventually. Only cause they were looking out for her.
Turning on her heel, Kamilla disappeared back into the house and took thirty minutes to do everything before she stood before her mirror, two outfit choices in her hands.
She put the first over her body, a slim white turtle neck, paired with black slacks and a red coat. She bit her lip, mind deep in thought. It was either she was losing the plot or Viktor had been in her room this morning.
She held the other outfit over her body, a short pleated grey skirt with a black sweater and cream–colored coat.
There was really no way Kamilla could have imagined his scent that strongly. She’d felt the warmth of his body, for crying out loud!
Huffing, she lowered both options and crossed her arms. What did he think he was doing, driving her mad this way? She’d felt him, sensed him and smelt him, but the fact that she hadn’t seen him with her own eyes left her feeling like she’d imagined it all!
The frustration bit away at her, but Kamilla swatted it away. No. Today was going to be a good day! Even if Viktor was serious about what he’d said back in Onyx the other day, it meant nothing. Like Syre said, she had to bring him to his knees.
With a nod, Kamilla reached out and grabbed the pleated skirt outfit and, tossing off her bathrobe, got herself dressed.
Twenty minutes later and still with two hours to spare until her first class started, Kamilla darted into the kitchen, grabbed her glass bottle out the fridge and a waffle off her plate before dashing towards the front hall. “I love you, mom!”
“That’s not enough for breakfast, love!” called her mother after her.
“Gotta go, ma’am!” said Syre and Kamilla heard them thank her mom for her warm hospitality as she closed the front door behind her.
Drawing in a lungful of fresh air, Kamilla started her walk to the town college of EGD, Engineering and Architecture.
Two houses away from hers, she glanced back to see if the Legion was following, but was stunned to see a clear street.
Kamilla turned back and picked up pace, her mouth curving in affection. Her guys were too slick. No wonder she hadn’t been able to tell that they’d been around her, watching her for the past two weeks.
Well, if they were the Legion of Onyx, of course they’d be that good.
Delighted at her pleasant morning, Kamilla got off the bus and, for the first time in her life, smiled up at the gates of her campus. It wasn’t particularly the school she was fond of, the morning air just seemed to be so fresh and lovely today.
Brushing crumbs from a muffin she’d bought off her skirt, she walked through the gates, smiling back at everyone who smiled at her.
The campus fountain was flourishing this morning, the white ducks swimming to their hearts‘ content and the vast green lawn sparkling with morning dew. as students walked about, looking as glamorous as celebrities.
“Good mornin‘,” greeted a cute, dimpled guy as he walked past her.
Kamilla blushed as she gave him a wave. “Morning.” Wow, that would have never happened in high school. She should come to campus looking super cute from now on.

“Ohi Ms. Kamilla Drew!”
Stunned, Kamilla paused on the steps and looked at the attractive woman who’d called her.
“Uhm, hello.” With a quiet gasp, she suddenly realized who she was looking at. “Oh, you’re Ms. Turner! From Administration!”
Ms. Turner nodded. “I am, dear. How
you? What’s going on, I really thought you were here to stay. Your excellent grades had our Dean so excited”
Kamilla blinked at the lady’s dejected expreee! “pardon? 1… I am here… to stay.“.
Ms. Turner looked puzzled, “You are? Then…” Frowning, she pointed toward the parking lot. “How come your guardian just cancelled your registration on your behalf?”
Kamilla’s jaw dropped open. “What? M–my registration was cancelled? But, my mom
“No, no,” said Ms. Turner with a shake of her head. “Not your mother, he was male and he brought a letter signed by you for the cancelling of your

Kamilla thought her lungs had turned to stone, the way she could barely breathe. “An awfully gorgeous man c–cancelled my registration?” She gritted her teeth. There was only one man who fitted that description for her. “Tall? Black hair to his shoulders? Dark blue eyes and a hard, chiseled jaw strong enough to smash through rock?” Kamilla asked darkly.
With a dreamy sigh, Ms. Turner nodded.
The brightness of her day became a shattered illusion as Kamilla looked at Ms. Turner, her blood boiling in her veins. “Which way did he go?”
